"I guess you're right." Kiera agreed.

Elide grinned and climbed off of her sister, "I'm hungrrrrry." She whined.

"Me too. What do you want to eat?" She asked as she stood up.

“Uh…” Elide hasn’t thought that far, “I don’t know. Pancakes?”

"Okay then, pancakes it is. Come on, let's go." Kiera answered as she started making her way downstairs to the kitchen.

Elide giggled and followed her sister, “Yay! Can I have golden syrup on mine?”

"Of course!" Kiera replied. "I'll have some peanut butter and syrup with mine."

Elide scrunched up her nose, “Ew, peanut butter is gross.”

Kiera laughed. "For you maybe." She answered as they reached the kitchen. "Do you wanna help?" She asked as she started rummaging through the cabinets for the ingredients.

Elide nodded eagerly, “Yes! Yes yes yes please.” She hurried around to join her sister on the right side of the kitchen counter.

Kiera laughed at her sister's enthusiasm. "Okay, the recipe says 1 egg, 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 of sugar, 3 tablespoons of butter, and 1 1/4 cups of milk. Can you help me find all the ingredients?" She asked, pulling out a big bowl, a wooden spoon, and the measuring utensils.

“That’s a lot,” Elide whispered but she nodded and went to the fridge to grab the eggs. She skipped back over and placed them on the counter before walking over to the cupboard to grab the flour.
