Avien, seeing the others, started walking towards them.
"Hey guys."
Avien, seeing the others, started walking towards them.
"Hey guys."
"Avi," Aza said, using a nickname.
"Aza." Avien smiled.
"So, what are you guys doing?"
“Not much, really.” Rain fluttered his wings. “I’d just about kill for a croissant right now.”
"Watching," Aza said towards Avi. She took a ten dollar bill out of her pocket and handed it to Rain. "Buy a croissant for me too."
Avien fluttered his wings.
"You feel that wind? Perfect for flying…"
Aza cast Avien an annoyed glance and tucked her wings back. "Don't fool around."
"Fine." Avien tucked his wings back in, having noticed he had unconsciously started to unfurl them.
Angel walked up behind them, eating a buttered pastry. "Sup nerds." He said after he had finished chewing it.
"Hey Angel…" Avien turned to look at Angel.
"Angel," Aza said, giving him a mock bow.
Rain had flown off to a nearby cafe to get to croissants. He momentarily spooked a few costumers, but got the treats quickly enough and landed on his feet with a dull thud back near everyone else. He handed Aza her croissant and started munching on his own. Rain gave Angel a nod of acknowledgement.
"Thank you," Aza said, pulling the croissant apart slowly.
Avien's stomach grumbled as he looked at everyone around him eating.
"I'm just gonna go get something to eat…" He flew off.
"You didn't get Avi one, Rain? Be courteous," Aza chastised.
Quickly picking up a breakfast sandwich, Avien flew back to the group. It was nearly gone by the time he got back.
Maisie flew up to where the others were waiting with a coffee in her hands. "Sup losers?" She asked downing the rest of her coffee and crumpling the cup
Cyrus scowled and pulled away. "Today marks the 3rd year of my sibling's death."
"Oh…" Nick suddenly felt a little bit awkward… "Hey, I'm sorry." That was the only thing Nick knew how to say in these situations.
Cyrus looked away, the scowl still on his face, though less harsh. "You didn't do it," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.
"What's up yourself, loser?" Aza shot back at Maisie.
"Hm, speaking of siblings, is everyone okay with Avery coming over?" Angel hummed, he missed his adopted siren brother, it was too long since they had last seen each other.
"Yeah, sure," Aza said politely. She really didn't like interaction but she knew how much Angel cared about Avery.
"What's up yourself, loser?" Aza shot back at Maisie.
Maisie stuck out her tongue at Aza "I hate mornings." She replied
"Mornings suck," Aza agreed and put the rest of her croissant in her mouth.
Avien stuffed the rest of his sandwich into his mouth.
"Mpher me fer herm." He said, mouth full
