"I'm not a sociopath," Kane said, glaring at Marianne and Finley. "Or a psychopath." He turned to Finley. "And what makes you qualified to diagnose me? Last time I checked you were a healer and a doctor, not a psychologist."

@blue_topaz

Marianne burst out laughing, leaning down to flick Kane in the head. β€œWe’re just teasing, Kane, and it’s your fault for bringing the subject up.”

Rowan made his way down from the crows nest, grumbling crossly as he did so. "When can we leave? I hate this city." He asked grouchily and he moved to stand next to everyone.

@blue_topaz

Marianne chuckled, tossing Rowan the newspaper. β€œWe’re leaving for Cirus soon, just read this first,” she told him, continuing to scratch behind Saur’s ear.

Rowan rubbed his eyes and pulled out his clunky reading glasses. After he read it all, he whistled. "Damnnn, Ghost ships?"

(wait the form says ryder, not rowan)

Well shit, I put in the wrong name… Let's just pretend that I've been writing Ryder.//

@blue_topaz

Marianne nodded, heaving a long sigh and hopping back into the deck. Her bare feet hit the deck, her hat tumbling off her head. She sighed again, leaning down to pick it up.

Ryder shrugged, putting his reading glasses back into his bag. "Not the weirdest shit we've had to deal with I suppose."

@blue_topaz

Marianne shrugged, concern flickering in her eyes before she snuffed it out. One thing at a time, she told herself, glancing over at the shoreline. Cirus first, then deal with the ghost ship. β€œRight, as our Navigatir, could you plot our course?” she asked him, rubbing a hand through her hair and replacing the tricorn hat on top of it.

"Sure thing Captain Marianne," Ryder said with a smirk and a salute before heading over to his small map room to begin plotting world domination their course.

"Anything you want me to work on, Cap'?" Finley asked as she leaned against the railing, glancing down at the ship's large friend down in the ocean. She liked being on deck and in the fresh air, though she knew that she would most likely need to return back to the infirmary, in case anyone on the crew needed help.

@blue_topaz

Marianne paused, considering the question. β€œYeah, actually. If we have anything, do you think you could find something to help with the aftereffects of being hypnotized by a Siren Song?” she asked, glancing down at the water as if one could be lurking there at that very second.

"Possibly. I think I picked up a Book of Monsters and Sea Creatures at the last island once. Maybe there's some sort of information there," Finley replied as she fiddled with the crystal necklace around her neck, a frown on her features as if she were already in deep thought.

@blue_topaz

Marianne gave a nod, her eyes sweeping the docks ahead of them for potential trouble. Finding none, she turned back to Finley. β€œThat would definitely be fortunate. We’ll depart for Cirus as soon as Ryder’s done mapping out a course.”

Finley agreed with a short nod of her head, and she took this as a cue to head below deck. As she began to make her way down the staircase, she bit her bottom lip in thought before she decided to make her way towards the navigation room, deciding that she could talk about what was on Cirus with Ryder. Perhaps he could provide her with some insight.

β€œPermission to go down to Copiae and look for gunpowder, Capitan?” Kane asked, walking closer to Capitan Marianne. β€œWe’re almost out, and I wanna make sure we’ll be alright if we’re attacked.”

@blue_topaz

β€œPermission granted,” Marianne told him, leaning back against the rail. β€œJust don’t be too long, okay? I’d like us to leave as soon as possible.”
