(Hello hello! No worries fam, I've been super busy ^^; )
"I care," Gus told Jasper firmly. "Always have 'n always will. Now let's get you to bed, alright? Tomorrow we'll make a plan, but fer now we need some rest."
Standing, he began to arrange a sleeping spot for Jasper in the coziest corner of the room. He wasn't actually ready to sleep yet himself— he wanted to check on the others and make sure someone was keeping watch in case Jesse came back. But he wasn't leaving Jasper until he was certain she was comfortable and safe.
Travis took mental note of Jesse's name and gave her a nod. "Well, Tap and I just met, so I dunno where she's from, but I've been on the road since……oh, Manhattan or so. I heard there're still some scraps of humanity living on the other side of the country, so that's where I'm going. Bustin' monster skulls is fun, sure, but a guy needs a place to enjoy the finer things in life sometimes." He got tired of standing like an idiot in the doorway and sauntered into the room slightly to lean against the wall. "And you, Jesse? You're welcome to join us, if you feel like being friendly. You look like you know what you're doing, and we could always use more firepower on our side."
Jesse didn't mind this man, though he annoyed her slightly. Which was a plus to her. Most people made her want to push them off of a building or leave them to die.
Tap hadn't said enough, if anything for Jesse to tell whether she liked her or not, but she didn't see either of them as any harm. For now at least.
Hearing him talk was difficult due to the storm right outside, the rain beating down on the windows and walls of the building. Lightning crashing together and thunder shaking the floor beneath them. Her mind couldn't help but go to the reaper outside. It's life force visibly draining from its body.
She decided she would go outside later tonight and handle it while it was still storming. She didn't want anybody else following her and who in their right minds would in this weather.
Her eyes focus on Travis now, trying to rethink what he had said. She nods before looking around "there's a room across the hall you can stay in. Two three nine." she says, letting her arm drop down to her side along with the gun. It was still loaded as always and she held onto it tightly. But it was no longer pointed towards the two.
"I can stay with you but im not sharing supplies." she huffs, knowing Travis was right. It would be better for all three of them to stick together. It would be easier to keep moving as she was still trying to find her girlfriend. If she was still alive.
Jesse knew she was. How could she not be? She was tough as nails and not about to let anyone get in her way. Knowing her, she's probably looking for Jesse as they spoke.
That's what she liked to think anyway.

Cass and Ophelia pull out a few drawers and pull out a long black tarp. It looked as if it was a cover to a car to protect them from the rain. Which is exactly what it was. Cassius had stolen a few he found along the way before finding this house.
He picks up a few stolen railroad nails and a hammer along with it and stepped outside. Ophelia held a small corner of the tarp to "help" out. Which she was enjoying doing very much so. "this wont hurt the plants will it?" she asks
Cassius shakes his head "no they'll be fine. Worse comes to worse they wilt a little. But we've dealt with worse right?" he says happily. Which makes her smile wide and nod "yeah!" she says happily.
Once they finished pulling the tarp carefully over the plants, Cass kneels down and sets one of the large nails carefully over it before hammering it into the ground.
"can i try!?" Fia asks, kneeling down beside him. He nods "yeah of course. Let me help you though"
Soon Ophelia was carefully setting the nail on top of the tarp and hammering it into the ground as Cass held the nail in place, most definitely afraid of her hitting his hand and breaking a finger or two.
(I guess I'm kinda waiting for @imNOTdenki to reply before I go again, hope they're doing ok)
(She’s going on a trip about now, so it will probably be difficult for her to reply to anything for a while. Also sorry I haven’t been replying either, I have been very busy recently)
(oh oof alright)
(i think everyones been pretty busy lately. I would offer to put the roleplay on hold but i feel like it will die if i do that)
(good to know, no worries! Let's wait a bit longer, and then I'll probably reply either way just to keep things rolling a little)
(no pressure for anyone at all to reply!)
(Im more free to reply now :))
(yay!!! i think everyone else has been kinda busy lately. But id love to get this back up and going! ^^)

"Oh I'm just from around the area..i didn't walk that far a ways to get down here. We haven't been traveling that long together but..well I can't say I haven't enjoyed the time spent with this big handsome log." She elbowed him a little playfully as she turned back in the same space she had been staring earlier.
It was easy to think she just didn't like eye contact.
She moved into the room as he did moving to stand next to him.
"He's not wrong."
She waited for a response, and then smiled softly when she heard the yes. She smiled in Jesse's direction.
"Awesome! Glad that your going to join us then, and don't worry about supplies I totally understand on that front." She seemed a lot more talkative then she did earlier.
(hey so i think we might just be waiting for a hot second for this roleplay to kick back up. I did start a new roleplay if yall want to check it out. Its right here. you dont have to but its worth a shot to ask haha)
(Not a lot. You can go ahead and read everything to catch up. That goes for anyone who left for the summer and is coming back. We basically paused so there's not a ton to read)
(So I read up :) my characters are just…there…Darius was talking to Evan but then someone had to open the door…and June is probably just…around… I'll figure out what to do later. )
(Yeah we did that so we didn't have to pause the roleplay..you can put them wherever, as long as it's in context )
(Alright…not sure where to yeet them yet tho)
(im back from summer vacation–)
