"He'll go to sleep." She assured him. Soon enough, the infant was snoring softly on the pillows.
Havenwood sighed and relaxed into the bed himself. “Yep… sleep is good, little man.”
Elise laughed, running her fingers through his hair absentmindedly.
Havenwood glanced at her. “What do you want, hmm?” He sat up slowly.
"Nothing in particular." She smiled.
Havenwood put his hands on her hips and leaned into her, half-closing his eyes. “You sure?”
She grinned. “Sure.”
Havenwood pulled her onto the bed and snuggled her, setting his head onto her chest. “Okay…”
She sighed contentedly, resting her head on his gently.
Havenwood shut his eyes, listening to her hearbeat. This is nice.
I would have to agree. She grinned to herself softly.
Havenwood moved down so that she couldn’t rest on his chest, and snuggled his head into the area between her chest and neck.
She giggled and tousled his hair. “I love you.”
Havenwood stirred. “I love you too.”
She smiled to herself, resting her head on her shoulder.
Havenwood sighed and relaxed into her.
“Naptime, love.” She smiled into his hair, inhaling and exhaling slowly.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the front door. Havenwood raised his head.
“Yeah?”
No response.
Havenwood sighed and sat his head back down, except this time, it was directly on Elise’s bosom.
Elise rolled her eyes. "Go get the door, Havenwood."
Havenwood groaned gently. “Nooooo.”
"Yes." She gave him a playful shove.
“Noooo you’re so waaarm and comfyyy…”
She rolled her eyes again, smiling. “You can come right back. I might have to shove you off.”
“Nooooooo make someone else do itttttt….”
She grunted, gently shoving him off of her and trodding to the door.
