"But I'm doing to do it anyway," She stated.
"But I'm doing to do it anyway," She stated.
“How are you going to get a pumpkin?” He challenged.
"Demeter, probably." She countered, face set.
Havenwood crossed his arms. “You’re gonna walk?”
“No. But then again, there’s always good old Athena.” She pointed out.
Havenwood huffed. “You really want that pumpkin.”
“I do.” She raised an eyebrow. “And I’m going to get it.”
Havenwood sat down on the couch. “Alright. Have fun with that.”
Elise shook her head, smiling, and continued writing notes. She's ask Athena to get a hold of Demeter for her later, when Havenwood was asleep.
He then decided stretch out, across the couch. He relaxed, his legs dangling off of the end of the comfy leather.
"You gonna sleep?" She asks, turning to look at him.
“I can’t get comfortable without you scheming to leave?” He opened an eye to look at her.
"I wasn't gonna leave. Can't." The edge of her lips pulled up into what could be a smirk.
Havenwood shook his head. “If you say so.”
"Seriously. I can't leave if I wanted without hurting myself." She shrugged.
Havenwood stared at her. “Once again. Sure.”
Elise rolled her eyes, grinning, and turned back to her paper.
Havenwood turned his head back up to face the ceiling and shut his eyes again.
Elise waited for a few minutes, making sure Havenwood was asleep, before thinking. Hey, Athena. I need a pumpkin. Does Demeter have any? I can't really leave the house. She knew Athena could hear her, even if Elise had no way of hearing her response.
Elise, I’m not asleep. Havenwood opened his eyes.
Oopsies. She grinned guiltily.
Havenwood shook his head and stood up off of the couch. “I’m gonna go nap.”
"Okay." Elise watched him trod off to the bedroom. But seriously, Athena, I need a pumpkin.
No she doesn’t, growled Havenwood.
Yes, I do. For Halloween.
