Havenwood wrapped his arms around her. “If you say so, then.”

"I'm right about this one." Elise grinned.

Havenwood rolled his eyes. “Once again, if you say so.”

"I could sit here for days with you and I wouldn't be bored."

He blinked at her. “Really?”

"Yes, really. Your very presence is virtually everything that fills my mind."

Havenwood pulled her closer, a grin on his face. “Thank you. That’s really nice of you to say.”

"I'm not lying, either." She grinned back. "It's true."

Havenwood shook his head. “It can’t be. I’m the world’s most boring person.”

"Not to me, you're not. You're the world's most intriguing person to me." She tilted her head. "I'm not lying, you know."

“Intriguing, huh?” Havenwood tilted his head. “I dunno.”

"You are. You may not know it, but you are." Her long blond hair swayed this way and that in the breeze coming in through the window.

Havenwood ran his fingers through her hair, enjoying the way it glistened. He didn’t respond.

You know that I would never think of you as boring, right? I love you. You know that. Her bright green eyes stared into his silver ones.

Because you're being hard on yourself. I see that grin. She nudged him playfully.

Havenwood giggles child-like, moving his head over a little, as if trying to mask his grin.

Nooo. You can't escape me. Elise grins, moving his face so that she can see it. See? You're very intriguing.
