"Uh…" Havenwood recovered from his brief confusion at her shouting. "Yes, we can."
"Uh…" Havenwood recovered from his brief confusion at her shouting. "Yes, we can."
"That's…wow. I don't know if that's good or bad." Elise looked at him, waiting for an answer. Her mind sighed. What do you mean? Of course it's…good. No, bad. No - just be quiet already.
Havenwood shrugged. "It's alright, I guess." He hoped he didn't look as confused as he felt.
"Well, now - nevermind." You were going to say that he could see your secrets, weren't you? I don't have any. Oh, yes you do. You know it. No, I don't. Can your side of me just…move to Austrailia? Ha! Fat chance. I'm stuck with you, kid. He can hear us! I know. So shut up. Hmph.
Havenwood glanced at her, feeling concerned and went outside to eat, deciding once he was done, he could hunt for his next, lonely meal tomorrow.
Oh god. You need to stop! He's getting worried! I'm being honest. You're the liar, kid. Can he hear us this far away? How am I supposed to know? You're supposed to be the logical one. I hate you. Same here.
Havenwood walked over to Athena's cliff and sat down with a gentle sigh. "Athena?"
(I'll be her)
Athena turned to Artemis. "Oh, hello. Fancy seeing you." She smiled.
Artemis, to her, smiled a little and set his plate down. "Yeah. I couldn't think of anywhere else to go."
"Don't you have…whatshername…Elise? Is she sleeping?"
"No." Artemis sighed. "Her and I are just…" He opened his eyes and gazed at the Goddess. "I'm thinking about sending her back tomorrow. She can't stay here…"
"She loves you, you know. If she wants to stay, let her! Do what's best for her."
"I know she does, but I can't keep her here like an animal. She hates it here."
"And yet she wants to stay?" Athena cocked her head, taking off her helmet. The metal owl's eyes seemed to hold more wisdom than the world had.
Artemis nodded, keeping his gaze on that metal owl, that never ceased to calm him down.
"If she truly hates it, then she would want to leave. She loves you more than where she came from. She might just be arguing with herself a bit." Athena suggested.
Havenwood hummed gently, knowing that Elise, in fact, was arguing with herself…
"I guess you're right, Athena. Thanks."
"No trouble. I should charge." She laughs.
Artemis cracked a smile. "You'd be ridiculously rich."
Athena laughs. "Aw, shucks. Go on, now. Talk to Elise. See what she really wants."
Havenwood sighed. "I should let her calm down first. She's just been screaming at herself for the past couple minutes."
"Screaming at herself? What do you mean? Is it…" Athena looked to the sky for a moment. "In her head?"
"Oh, yeah, her head. Sorry." Artemis tore the pheasant apart with his deft fingers and put a good portion of it in his mouth.
"So she is arguing with herself in her head. Go…talk to her about it. See if she can turn the second voice off."

(Okay)
"I don't think she'd be able to. It seems like…. a part of her."
