Tino shifted in his sleep again, making a small noise in the back of his throat. His face twisted into a pained expression and he whimpered softly, shaking and shivering. He cries out, but can't seem to wake up from his twisted nightmare. He sobs, shaking his head. "I don't want it!" He yells in his sleep.
Asher comes back into the house what seems like only a few minutes later when in reality he had been in the thicket for hours, time not passing on the path.
Patch starts when she hears Tino begin to sob and shake. She shoots up. “Tino?” Patch gently starts to shake him. “Tino!?” She wraps her arms around him and hauls him into her arms. “Tino, what’s wrong!?!” She was frightened now. She starts rocking gently. “Tino, wake up!”
Tino twists in her grip, sobbing and shaking. When he heard her call his name it was enough to snap him out of the terrifying nightmare. He cries out, holding onto her, shaking with fear and horror. He couldn't take it. It scared him so much. He sobbed in her arms, not willing to let go.
Patchwork’s eyes widened as Tino woke up and clung to her. “Shhhhh… it’s ok Tino. It was just a dream. I’m right here, see? Everything’s going to be ok.” She just rocked slowly, rubbing the crying boy’s back.
He held onto her, fearing the worst, his eyes clenched shut. He held onto Patch as if she were his only lifeline. He sobs and shakes, crying and shaking. He sniffs, seeming to calm down a little bit as he relaxes into her grip. He shakes with quiet tears but for the most part he seemed to be calming down.
Patch was worried out of her mind. She was scared. How bad had the nightmare had to have been to make him this scared? “Tino?” She asks softly, “You don’t have to answer, but… do you want to tell me about your nightmare? It might make you feel better?”
Jeff continued to follow, looking around
Tino shakes and trembles, whimpering softly as he holds onto her. "I-It was a lot of dreams mixed together. All of them scared me… they were all so terrifying." He whispers, holding onto her, seeking comfort and warmth. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't tell her of his past. What if she threw him away?
"Hey. Ya know. Instead of just staring at the floor you could help."
"I can;t see and there for. Can't leave!"
"…. Sucks to be you then, doesn't it….."
"You where just screaming at me to leave 5 min ago!"
"…" Toby remained silent now, he wiped off his face again, twitching slightly
"Kid? Ya'll still there?"
The sheets fly slightly as she turns her head toward the sound of his voice, "Eh?"
Toby sighed, laying back down
"Or what… What will you do…." Toby rolled onto his side
"Bang around blindly and annoy you more!"
He sighed slightly. then he got up and walked over, yanking the sheets off of her. The he stared at her blankly. "Happy?"
"Get back in bed!" She orders, pointing her blackened talon at the bed
"You just told me to help you…" Toby argued.
