(Aleena is mad at her brother)
(I don’t want this to die >_< )
Simone left the hall and went to go steer the ship. She was pretty sure that they were at their destination and that it was where they needed to be. When they were by the edge, slowing down she pushed the anchor off the ship. It took her a good ten minutes if pulling and pushing to get it off by herself. Everybody was doing something else so she had to put on her leader cap. The ship shook and leaned onto the right while the anchor went down. She then took her bag and Cocco and went onto the island.
William dropped off the boat with grace, the air humming around him. Breathe… What are five things you see? William started mentally going through it. He needed to anchor himself, he needed to stay calm and stay away from that knife. He focused on the sand beneath his feet.
At least William was doing something Simone thought to herself. She didn't like being the only one actually participating while others were ignoring the task at hand. She walked down the gangplank and jumped onto the island sand. She didn't know what she would be facing when she got here so she made sure to stay on the look.
(Well imma just say that Lucas is awake now or smthn)
Lucas carefully walked down onto the sand of the island, looking at it curiously. There wasn't much sand where he was from, and it intrigued him. He promptly sat himself down and began picking up handfuls of sand, watching it fall through his fingers.
Simone saw a few trees in the distance and decided to use her crafting skills while she waited for the crew. She climbed up one of the tall trees and broke off an few branches. She then got a rock with a sharp side that could be used for cutting. She then found some vines and got to work. She shaped the pieces of wood with the rock and used the vines to hold the pieces together. After tightening the pieces she had a strong spear that she could use to fight with or to hunt with. She made a couple more and laid them out next to the ship so the crew could get it. The sizes she were making were a bit big for her and Lucas so she made special weapons for them. She made makeshift shields and swords for her and Lucas only since they took longer to make.
The other members of the crew would have to make their own thing after the spears because Simone was tired. She had been awake all night-long thinking about how this was her new life. She took one of the shields and swords and handed them to Lucas. "We get the special weapons because I can't make smaller spears. The rock I used couldn't cut the wood but I think we got the best." She said while putting them by Lucas and sitting on the sand next to him.
"What is it?" Lucas asked curiously, examining the short sword and weighing it in his hand. It was heavy, or at least seemed so to him, but fairly well made and sturdy. If he needed to use it, it would work well. He only hoped he wouldn't need to use it, as he didn't really know how. He picked up the small, wooden shield next and ran his fingers over its smooth surface. Also sturdy and well made, but he couldn't say how long it would stand up to attacks from stronger people than him.
Bahari smiles, taking in the air of the island. Picking up the boxes and her necklace, she decesnded into a open stone cellar flanked with undergrowth.
"They're weapons. I did my best because there is not a lot I can do as a seven-year-old but they should last us two battles at least. We don't really know what we're up against." Simone said while drawing pictures in the sand.
"Are there… are there people we have to fight here?" Lucas asked with a hint of worry evident in his voice. The blade of the sword thumped onto the sand as Lucas slackened his grip.
"Not really people." Simone said while hearing the worry in his tone. Her hands started shaking with the reality of what was about to come and how she would be facing it in less than an hour.
"Then what? Animals? I don't wanna hurt animals…" Lucas ran his fingers along the blade, taking care to not get cut.
"More like… spirits?" Simone supplied. She didn't know the correct or specific term for them but that was as vague as she could get.
"But you can't exactly run a spirit through with a sword, can you?" Lucas looked up at Simone, confused.
(Lucas over here asking the real questions)
(lol
and hi I'm back. sorry I ghosted but I had big things going on.)
Bahari laid everything out on the stone floor and tugged on a rope. The cellar lit up, and Bahari walked out, whistling as she went.
"I…didn't think about that." Simone said in a whisper-like voice. She tossed the sword to the side and though about other options. "So why did they send us here if we don't even have the resources to fight them? Why did they send us little kids and teens when they could've done it themselves? Why did they make us do the work all by ourselves and not give us guidance? Why are we even here if the spirits aren't directly hurting us?" Simone asked, now furious with all the lies shes been told. She got up and started pacing.
"Um… maybe we're not supposed to fight the spirits? What if we're supposed to make peace with them instead so Will can be himself again?" Lucas set the sword down and stood up, watching Simone pace.
"What about Will? What happened to him?" Simone asked, abruptly stopping, suddenly confused by his words.
"You know, when he tried to contact the spirits and got sick and mad and panicky. He got mad at me for trying to talk to my brother…"
"…I…wasn't there…" Simone said while comprehending what he said. She never knew that that had happened. She realized the sick horrors of what she was about to face. Spirits that could make her go mad and possibly control her? I think not Simone thought. She suddenly didn't want to be here. She didn't sign up for this. She knew it was spirits but she had no clue they would be this bad. She thought it would be like the things in her video games. She walked back up the gangplank and into the ship, she sat on her bed and put her head in her hands. What if she never saw her parents again. What if she killed herself because a spirit controlled her. What if she kills one of her crew-mates. She couldn't handle the sensory overload and for the first time in a longtime she had a nervous breakdown. She just sat still in her bed looking at the wall, not functioning or moving. Her brain short-circuited and she was frozen.
William walked over to the two cautiously, “Are you two okay?” Human emotions, I need to discern my emotions from the spirits’s. William felt little tugs down the beach, the spirits wanted to guide him to the demons.
(And now it’s dead…)
