"Cowards? They're heroes! They saved countless planets and countless lives!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Cowards? They're heroes! They saved countless planets and countless lives!" Gwen exclaimed.
"AND IN REPLACE THEY HIDE AND THOSE LIVES WERE DESTROYED!!" He roars. "MY PEOPLE ARE DEAD BECAUSE OF THEM!" He cries. He burst into tears as black as the darkest night, "My mother and father, my siblings… all of them were dead because Voltron went missing. And did they help the rebel cause?! NO!" he trembles.
(oops Gwen might get a little rude here)
"But don't you care about the other lives they saved?! It's impossible for the paladins to save every single being in the universe! Before you go and cry about how you lost your family or whatever, think about how difficult it must have been for them!" Gwen shouted back.
Alex growls, the black tears dripping down his face, "The planets they saved, each of them have been taken over, all over again. Voltron was their hope. Their savior. And when they revolted, there was No mercy." He whispers, "They're not taking many hostages. They have to be incredibly important. Otherwise, you're as good as screwed. Would you like to see that, paladins? Planets bathed in it's own people's blood?" He asks, a high pitched laugh escaping his lips. His eyes were wide, the blind eye swirling with black the blue turning black slowly.
Gwen backed up, slightly scared by Alex's insanity. "Woah dude…calm down…"
Each of the paladins easy going nature was gone, each of them were prepared for a fight. Alex lets out a scream of pain, clutching his head as he slumps against the walls. "Haggars magic…?" Pidge asks Shiro. Shiro nods, "A high possibility."
She cautiously walked towards Alex. "Hey…are you alright?" Gwen turned to the paladins. "What's happening?"
Zanna slowly walks towards Alex, "It's okay buddy. You need to calm down, just breath with me."
Her hand slowly pulled out her whip.
"NO!" Alex sobs, "Get away! I don't… I don't…. I don't want to hurt you…" he whispers.
"You won't hurt me," Zanna told him. She continued walking towards him, "I know your not."
Alex curls into a tighter ball, shaking and sobbing softly.
Zanna reached him and quietly sat next to him. She said softly, "I don't know what she did to you, but I'm here for you. Just like you were there for me."
Alex tackles her into a hug, his black tears starting to slow down.
Zanna hugged him back. She let out a small sigh. She whispered to him, "It's okay. Everything's fine. I've got you."
Alex nods, shutting his eyes. The memories… the pain… everything had come back. After years of pushing it away.
Zanna could feel the paladins eyes on them. She tried to use her hand and subtly tell them to look away. She said to Alex, "It's fine to break down every once and a while. It reminds us that we're alive."
Alex takes huge gasps of air, trying to calm down. He lets out a choked sob, "They're gone… all of them…" he whispers.
"I-I know," Zanna told him, "And I know how hard that can be."
Alex shakes, clutching onto her tightly. "The screams… th-they're terrible… a-and then Her…" He chokes out, shuddering visibly.
Zanna hugged him harder, "She'll pay. Do you hear me, she will pay."
He nods, biting his lip. "Her… champion…"he hiccups. "I… hated being her pet… her little experiment…" he whispers.
"How long?" Zanna asked him, "How long did she have you?"
"Four years…" He whispers. "Four terrible years…" he whispers.
Zanna hugged him and said, "Four years, and you survived. Your not there, your here."
He whimpers softly. Shiro walks cautiously towards the two. "By she… do you mean Haggar?" he asks quietly. Alex lets out a petrified cry, letting Zanna go to clap his hands over his ears.
