Hi, I'm Venn, and yes, you read that correctly— this is my Roleplay Backalley. It's kind of like a Roleplay Corner, except this one's in the alley— like that scrawny guy trying to sell you illegal substances out of the inner pockets of his trench coat. My roleplays are those illegal substances. They're hard to come by, possibly harmful to your mental health if you overdo them, but dang do they take you for a trip. And this is definitely the good stuff. Trust me.

Anywhoodles, this is the place where I organize all of my RP ideas. You wanna OxO RP with me? Sweet. Just post here and we'll work something out in a new thread.
I am willing to do detailed world-building discussion with people in order to get the right setting, and I also like to put effort into making dynamic and interesting character arcs.

I'm not a picky person, but my top favorites are:
- Science fiction, particularly centered around technology/futurism
- Dystopian
- Post-apocalyptic
- Crime
- Superhero
- Futuristic fantasy
- Comedy
- Found-family
- Enemies-to-lovers (slow-burn)
- Mutual pining for way too long
- Villain-to-hero arcs
- Hero-to-villain arcs
- And more!
Angst, fluff, and whump are all a lot of fun. I welcome them.
How I like to write…
I can do first or third person perspective, past or present tense. I can't do future tense or second person, but who the frick is gonna ask me to do those? Anyway, I usually just match the tense and perspective of whoever I'm RPing with. If you use first person past tense, Imma use first person past tense; if you use third person present tense, Imma use third person present tense. If you use second person future tense, I'm going to have a seizure.
I can do posts anywhere from about 3-5 sentences, up to multiple paragraphs (given that I've got enough to work with). I can be descriptive, concise, or something in between; it varies according to the character, RP, and amount of information I have regarding the idea. Personally, I like making long posts, but whether you want to match my length is optional. As long as you give me enough to reply to, we're good. (But I do appreciate descriptions!)
Universal RP requirements and rules (applies to all of my RPs)
- Language must be kept at PG-13, with no f-bombs or vulgarity welcome.
- I like me some spicy romance; our characters can make out or whatever the frick we want, I just don't want it to get too steamy, ya know? No sex scenes.
- No magic, unless in fantasy, and even then lets try not to let the magic systems get too wonko.
- Never ever play my characters, bro.
- Don't be OP or use Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus (unless we're making an intentional exception; sometimes it's fun/funny to have OP characters).
- No post length is required, but you must give me something I can respond to.
- You must have decent grammar and writing skills.
- You must be able to play characters well, or at least be willing to try to work on them and developing them. I hate interacting with 2D, flat characters. Blech.
- There is no requirement for how often you can post. Take your time, homie.
Warnings
- You will need to tell me if you have any triggers.
- Though there will not be explicit sex scenes at any point, there may be references to dark themes such as rape. If this bothers you, this is easily avoided. Other things I will need to be informed of if they bother you include: murder, intense violence, crude humor/insults (nothing racist though), blood/mild gore, high-stakes scenarios, etc.
- Basically, please just let me know what bothers you so I can make sure not to do it. I don't wanna hurt anybody. <3
My Characters
Jasper Alessio Jamerson
- Works well in superhero RPs because he is a superhero with superpowers, but can also be modified for other types of roleplays.
- ENFP-A, Chaotic Good. And I do mean very chaotic.
- Age range can be anywhere from 15-30.
- Panromantic, demisexual.
- 6'2", broad shoulders, fit build, light olive skin.
- Sandy-brown hair, natural tight curls, cut in a undercut-fade style with the back/sides shorter than the top.
- Mismatched eyes (one light green, one light hazel).
- Happy Chaotic Troubled Good BoyTM
- He wants to help other people and make the world a better place, but he is immature and reckless.
