"Snakes." Her voice remained level.

"Yeah, but I changed my mind. Snakes."

“What about if we don’t get either and get something else instead.” Rose offered.

"A gecko?"

“Why do you only like reptiles?”

"Why don't you?"

“I would rather pet fur instead of scales.”

"I love the glimmer of scales."

“But furry.”

"That sounds like an internet sensation." She wrinkled her nose.

“What?”

"Furry? I've heard that being used a lot when… I was in school."

“What?”

"Nevermind." She shook her head.

“Ok, so which pet?”

"Snake."

“I thought we agreed no snake.”

"I didn't agree to that bullshit."

“Anything that’s not a reptile. Like a dog or something.”
