Rose awoke to the smell of her dads pancakes, one of her new favorites.
The smell of sizzling bacon tickled at her fancy too, as she rose to get dressed.
Emilia snored gently, curled up in a ball in her bed.
Rose grabbed some clothes out of her freshly stocked closet and put them on. She wandered out into the kitchen looking for food.
Mike glanced over his shoulder as she meandered in. "Morning." He grinned and set a plate down.
“Good morning,” Rose took a seat at the table.
Mike got her a fork and some orange juice then hurried to the violently popping bacon.
“So how did you sleep last night?”
"I slept well. You?" He glanced at her over his shoulder.
“Same, where’s Oliver?” Rose took a sip of orange juice.
"Still asleep," Mike hummed lovingly as he siphoned the bacon onto a paper towel.
“I think Emilia is still asleep also,” Rose smiled at the thought.
"Bacon?" Mike offered a couple of pieces.
“Yes please.” Rose took the bacon.
Mike smiled and set the plate down before setting a plate of his own then joining Rose at the table.
“How did you know when you liked Oliver, like more than a friend?” Rose took a bite of bacon.
"Mmmm… I dunno." He smiled. "I suppose I always liked him more than others I've met."
“Did you know before you even talked to him?”
"No, I worked with him a couple times and became friends with him."
“Was there this special feeling you got when ever you look at him?” Rose moved around her hands as she talked.
(ima go to bed niggght)
"Yeah, I felt really warm in the chest whenever I talked to him. I also felt really conscious of how I looked, too." He chuckled. "College could've been a bad time for me if it weren't for him."
(Night)
“Ya, well I’m glad he was in college with you then.”
Mike smiled warmly at her. "I am too. Are you planning to go to college?"
“Yes, I’ve always wanted to.”
"I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for Oliver and I to assist you in that. Did you have a certain subject or major in mind?"
