Hello, all! This RP is based off of a video game (Until Dawn), but you don’t need to have played it to know what’s going on. If you’d like to know more about the basics of the plot of the game, it’s listed here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Until_Dawn.
In this RP, our characters will already know each other and be spending what was supposed to be a fun weekend of drinking and other activities in the Blackwood Mountains. It’s the winter time, so they are staying in a cabin in the woods, the only way on/off the giant mountain being an aerial tram. But what happens when a massive snow storm hits, the tram breaks, and there is a possible human killer and multiple (probably 3) monsters known as Wendigos begin to torment the group?
This RP and the video game has a lot to do with the Butterfly Effect (where a simple small action can possibly cause catastrophic things in the future). When doing things in this RP, pitch ideas to the group as we go along for major things that can happen because of a character’s happen.
Now, for the monsters. Wendigo’s are creatures from Native American legend. They used to be human, but committed cannibalism, turning them into the flesh hungry creatures. I suggest to look at the small characteristic’s topic on this site to learn about how they appear, how they see (VERY IMPORTANT), and what can hurt/kill them: http://until-dawn.wikia.com/wiki/The_Wendigos
Rules:
- Will be rated R/MA for extreme violence and gore, profanity, and suggestive scenes (take that last part to PM though, please!).
- Character age range should be around 19-25.
- LGBTQ+ and gender themes are allowed here.
- No racist of homophobic slurs are to be used.
- Drama and hate between characters is allowed! It’s a bunch of young adults stuck in a cabin with each other, it’s going to get messy. But keep that hate between characters only.
- Let your characters have flaws and react like a normal person would to a horrifying experience.
- No one liners please! 3 sentences at the least would be preferred.
- Don’t make your character OP (Ex: They can’t be skilled in weaponry, medical, combat, etc…; Ex: They can’t just kill a Wendigo with the snap of their fingers like it’s very easy. These are extremely strong and smart creatures, it’s very difficult to kill them).
