Marcus’s grin faltered for a moment before it came back. “Only fitting, I suppose.”

“Promise you won’t tell her?” Zac raised his eyebrows.

“Of course not,” he said, dramatically putting a hand on his chest. “You think me a gossip?” He joked.

“Yes.” Zac smirked, “I wouldn’t be surprised to know you meet with some of the girls to spread rumors.”

“King, I’m offended,” he said as he waved at one of the said girls.

Zac smiled, “See? They even know you.” Zac rested his head on his hand.

“Everyone knows you - by default, everyone knows me,” he argued. “Though I will admit I am friends with them.”

“See? Friends with gossipers? You must be one yourself!” Zac teased.

He spread his hands out. “Hey, at least I don’t gossip bad things. Or embarrassing things,” he said, smirking at Zac.

“So you do gossip!” Zac pointed at Marcus, “I caught you red handed!”

“Shh, don’t tell anyone, or I’ll be forced to gossip about you.”

“No! Not that!” Zac feigned fright, “Anything but that!”

He laughed, eyes flicking up to the clock.

“Dang, almost time for class, isn’t it?” Zac grumbled.

“Yeap. Fun times.”

(Idek but Zac was saying Zora belongs in the trash)
“Dang it.” Zac sighed, “Well, let’s make the rest of the time we have last.”

“That’s like five minutes, and there’s not much to do in a cafeteria besides start a food fight,” Marchs shrugged. “Though you could probably get away with that.”

“True.” Zac sighed. He watched the clock tick down, “I just can’t wait for the thrill of class.” Zac rolled his eyes, every word soaked in sarcasm.

“Watching the teacher pace, listening to absolutely fascinating lectures,” he said drily. “Truly thrilling.”
