Jubilee looked around the room that she had woken up in. Several other were around her, equally confused. She didn't recognize any of them.
"W-where am I?" she asked groggily, sitting up. She tried taking in her new "surroundings". Not much. Random room with no windows and- Jubilee realized behind her, was a misty, blue screen, with white writing saying "check your pockets". Jubilee reached into her pockets, feeling a white piece of paper. Before she got a chance to read it, the others woke up.
Riley stirred awake, groaning. The floor was cold beneath him and he assumed he had fallen out of bed. When he opened his eyes he saw that he was in a room with bunch of other random people. He looked at the screen and reached into his pocket, pulling out a sheet of paper.
"You are playing a game of Truth or Dare…" Jubilee read out loud, "If you pick truth, you will be forced to answer a question truthfully in front of everybody… or else you will be beaten by the packs of monsters… and if you pick Dare, you must complete the Dare, or again, get beaten by monsters. You cannot sleep at night, for monsters will come… again… and you can never die."
Jubilee looked around.
"Is it just my terrible fate that this paper says?"
"Is this a dream?" Riley asked. "I knew I shouldn't have eaten that old pizza last night,"
"Not a dream," Jubilee said, "or we would be having the same dream. So, now that we have the instructions-" Jubilee noticed a door in the corner.
Kyra awoke to the echos of voices. She mentally cursed at her siblings for the racket, assuming it was them, since they all shared a room. However, when she opened her eyes, Kyra didn't see her brothers or sister. She didn't see her green painted walls or posters of celebrities. Instead, her home was replaced with a room with practically nothing.
There was a screen telling her to check her pockets. Too bad her pajamas had none. Feeling something inside her shoe, Kyra pulled out a white sheet of paper that two others had already found.
"I don't understand," she said simply. "Who are you people?"
Lila was quietly crying in fear.
"If you're looking for answers, I don't have any," Riley responded. He looked around the room and spotted a door in the corner. The girl he had talked to first was also looking at it. "Maybe there's something behind there," He pointed at it lazily.
(too late to join or nah?)
\ This sounds really cool! am i too late to join? \
(hi sorry im not gonna be on for a couple of days, but i'll reply a little)
Lyric starts to stir and yawns. She's surprised by the other people around her, then looks at the screen. She takes out the piece of paper, reads it, and her eyes widen in fear.
Aaron blinked and sat up. "What the hell is?" He noticed the screen and pulled out the paper.
You are playing a game of Truth or Dare. If you pick truth, you will be forced to answer a question truthfully in front of everybody or else you will be beaten by the packs of monsters and if you pick Dare, you must complete the Dare, or again, get beaten by monsters. You cannot sleep at night, for monsters will come again and you can never die, he read silently.
He looked up and scanned the room. "What the hell is this?" he repeated.
“Truth or Dare,” Riley answered casually. “We’re stuck in a room playing a game for middle schoolers,” He chuckled at the circumstances. “This is so weird,”
Aaron arched a pencilled eyebrow. "Wouldn't say this version is for middle schoolers."
Riley shrugged. “Yeah, I guess,” he said. He looked at the door to the side and stood up. “Well, I’m not sure about you guys, but I’m going to check out what’s behind there,” He nodded towards the door.
