Nova sighed and wiped her face, moving from the narrow chair she had been sitting on to the rolling, softer, much more comfortable chair that sat behind her desk. One of her most diffivult patients had just left, and she was exhausted. Her patient, Anna, was clingy and needy, but never actually took Nova's advice, which infuriated the doctor. Just because she was young didn't mean that she wasn't talented!

She rubbed her face. She hated her job. If it didn't pay so well she'd probably quit, but with a degree in psychology, there weren't many jobs out there that would take her, ones that wouldn't make her talk to people. All. The. Time. She'd be better off working for McDonalds' or something.

A knock on the door aroused her from her thoughts, and she looked up, scowling. The others knew that she didn't like to be disturbed at this time… what did they want now. Sighing, she stood, and moved over to the door, sliding it open. It was the new desk lady, M-something. Margeret, maybe? Mary?

"Can I help you?" Nova asked in a bored voice, her tone flat and disinterested. Many of her colleagues had often, in whispers, talked about how irritating it was that she could be one of the best of all of them and still hate people so much. She had heard the whispers, but didn't really care what they thought.

"T-the-" the woman stammered nervously, barely able to look the doctor in the eye.

"Yes?" Her tone was dangerous.

"U-uh-" the woman was stuttering and trembling like a leaf. Nova was very close to throwing her out a window, when she ooitned behind her.

The TV was on to the news, and a man in a tie was talking. "A breakout of this strange disease has just occured downtown. We have word that most of the locals have been infected and the physical forms of the diseases are now present!"

Cursing, Nova grabbed her doctor's coat, the one specifically designed in case something like this ever happened, and started to run outside. Then she stopped, turning to the woman.

"Manda-"

"My name is Martha."

Right.

" - I need you to leave. Go as far as possible from here, or at least stay hidden." She tied her hair up into a ponytail, and turned to leave. "Don't get affected." And she ran out onto the streets.

Mayumi clicked a pen as she scoured through the piles of paper before her. So many people and so many issues. Mayumi felt like everything would get busier and busier, but she always felt like this and there wasn’t much she could do about it.

Mayumi chose to take a quick break from all the work, mind running with harsh thoughts and her tea had gone cold. She always asked herself why she was really here, she was scared of it all and didn’t really fit in with everyone. Was this all really worth it just to make her parents happy? Should she have listened to her parents this whole time?

She shook her head in attempt to knock the thoughts away. Standing up to get a new cup of tea, she went to boil more water. But, she was stopped in her tracks as the sirens sounded through the hospital and doors were slammed open by alarmed doctors.

Her door was thrown open, “Dr. Flowering! A breakout has occurred downtown, many of the locals are infected and the diseases physical forms are assembling! You need to head out!” the new doctor spoke quickly before rushing off.

Mayumi blinked as she processed it. She stood where she was, not wanting to go. She knew she should help though, that’s why she was here as a doctor, right? Before she could keep thinking about it and let herself become more paranoid, she went to get her gun. Reaching to the back of one of her desk drawers, she pulled out her handgun. She quickly shoved it into a coat pocket. She pulled up her face mask higher, and checked for the other medical items in her coat. She started for the door.

She stopped, hesitating to leave, and looking back to where she kept her rifle. If it was as bad as it sounded, she might need it, and more ammunition. I should have prepared for this so I wouldn’t spend so long thinking… She slung the rifle over her shoulder and grabbed what she deemed more than enough ammunition, heart pounding in her head, and left the hospital.

(Guess who’s back :P)

Colton glared blankly when the two other specialists walked out. He’d been checking his equipment for the past three minutes. Just to make sure.
He gave them a nod and a soft hello, too soft for anyone to hear.
He glanced at the city in question and sighed. To head there easily, he’ll need to either take his motorbike or steal someone else’s, perhaps Ying Yue’s, normal bicycle.
He was going to wait for her though, they worked together a lot after all.
”You two still exhausted from yesterday…?” he asked the two specialists who came out about the torturous training they all went through yesterday. Everyone knew that it was for situations like these but sometimes it was just too much.

Colton always looked kinda scary to Mayumi when he stared blankly.
She twisted her rifle strap, “We are kind of always tired, or maybe that’s just me. But today I made sure to not over-work myself, and had plenty of tea. Then I got interrupted when I went to boil more water and now I’m here.”
Mayumi already felt more awkward as she kept talking, her skin heating up.
“We’re going to have to go pretty fast to get there, to help fight the diseases, unless we-“
She cut herself off, as a shiver ran up her spine. The outside was getting scarier by the minute, and she gripped her strap tighter. She needed to get moving.
She tried to distract herself and thought about the training, and how grateful she had been when it ended and they were allowed to leave.
Her heart raced faster, and her guilt started to bubble. At this rate she’d only be a drag, right? She should be helpful and get to helping all the civilians and defeat the diseases.
Mayumi bowed her head in apology to Colton and Nova, not able to get any words out.

Docter Ying Yue, the last of the acupuncture physician, was in the joy of finally having the first patient of the month.
As the successor of the ancient medical technique, it was really hard for her to encounter a person who acknowledged her and the ability of acupuncture. Since the present day's medical technologies was so advanced, people were starting to forget the older form of medical ways. Lately, she had been advised to give up on acupuncture and just be a normal, everyday Neurologist. But she just can't let the most important knowledge, the last treasure that she inherited from her family dies off…. No matter what happens she can't just let it go.

After several minutes, Ying finally finished the treatment.

"Haa~ that's so refeshing, the pain was all gone, thanks doc" the patient gushed. Before leaving the room.

Right before she could grab her favorite pillow and go back into her slumber, a notification popped from her phone. She reached to grab it tiredly and read the message that was sent to her.
C… she thought before thoroughly reading everything. When she realized that a break out was taking place, she grabbed her set of needles and of course, her scythe which she didn’t really plan to use. Opening the door, she ran down the hall and towards the outdoors where she and the other specialists would meet if something like this was to happen.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Nova gave Colton a stiff, curt nod of greeting when she spotted him. She trained with him, and they'd talked a few times, but she didn't know him well enough to really care.

She shrugged in answer to his question, "I'll live." She was indeed still tired from yesterday, although she didn't try to show it, as it was a weakness, and she could never show weakness in front of anyone.

She glanced at the other person there - what was her name again? Something starting with and M and hard to pronounce… she blinked. Man, she was bad at names. "We do indeed need to get there quickly." She gestured to the empty street they stood at. "So why are we still standing around? Are we just doing a quick weapons check," this was directed at Colton, "or are we actually going to fight?"

It wasn't that Nova liked to fight, but…. well, yeah, she did. Never mind. She took a knife from her coat, a sleak, narrow thing, with a glistening blade. She spun it between her fingers, watching the two of them. They were weak, she decided, to share so much, and show so much. She wished she wasn't stuck being with them, but nothing could be helped. She worked so much better solo.

Another person burst onto the street, another one of the doctors, and, very discreetly, she clenched her hands around the blade of her knife, about ready to ram it into a wall. But she couldn't do that, because it would ruin the blade.

@Meow

Nova might’ve been scarier, Mayumi realized, glancing up to her looking ready to kill.
Mayumi could see Ying coming into view.
Not wanting to drag on a conversation, and not having any fancy gear to check on, she started to leave.
“I won’t be much use in close-combat right now, so I’ll go now to assess the situation and help the civilians. I’ll message you.”
She sprinted off, not daring to look back or around. She really wished that this wasn’t as bad as it seemed and that it could be contained and the damage to be limited. All would need a miracle for it to be possible and this unit was the miracle, whether accurate or not.
To distract herself yet again, she began listing all the necessary procedures and things she should do and avoid. She’d need to speak with the emergency service members, and assess the damage. Secure the range of the disease, remove the civilians from the scene, assess what the components of the disease exhibit, confirm the diseases genetics and plausible medicines and solutions, help with recovery, provide support to her unit, and if it led to it: fight.
Mayumi really hoped that it wouldn’t come to the last part, but the other doctors were real capable people and they’d get on the scene quickly. If anything, she might just need to hold off the disease for a bit.
She pulled out a pair of gloves from her coat and put them on, before tightening her face mask. She untied her skirt and threw it aside, she had plenty more and it would only get in the way.
It was a good thing she wore a nice pair of shorts underneath today, but now she was stuck in a short shirt and it wasn’t exactly pleasant.
Mayumi was now joined by a crowd of civilians rushing away, sirens were wailing, and something was definitely being broken.
She took a deep breath. She wanted to run away, and to hide, and to scream, and to cry, and to let the others sort it out. But, she needed to put everything aside and get this job done right.
Mayumi pushed her way through to the front, finally on the scene, she was suddenly grateful for all her training.
She definitely needed to fight.

@CasiCasino group

Colton was about to say something to Mayumi but he didn’t get the chance to do so. He glanced at Nova once before he’d turned to see where the sounds of footsteps were coming from. He knew it was behind him but he needed to see who it was.

”Well, you can go on ahead if you’d like to, I’ll need to wait for her” Colton said blandly. He noticed the small girl running out of the hospital with a weapon larger than her entire body. When she stepped out the doors, he immediately asked: ”You’re going with me like usual, right?”

As Mayumi would run through the streets, she would come across one area where people were running away from.

Amidst the chaos, a young male figurine looked as if he was suffering from shortness of breath. He used his right hand to cover and attempted to get his breathing together but struggled to do so. He was also coughing and sneezing like crazy.

There was then, beside him, another figure attached to him with what appeared to be thick, white strings. The another figure, though humanoid, was not human in the slightest.

The figure had a long stained hooded coat on alongside a dirty gas mask which covered its face. In the figure’s disfigured and bleeding hand was a can of spray. When the human male stopped coughing, the hooded figure sprayed what was in its hand, a yellow substance, at the man which caused him to cough and made his breathing much more difficult than it should be.

With the looks and attributes of the disease, it might be correct to assume that the disorder here was Asthma.

@Meow

Mayumi glanced around frantically, before setting off.
The disorders and diseases she fought always seemed to nag at her. The faceless or faced, disfigured creatures, chained to a human and torturing them to death.
There was a small team of medical staff, standing in their protective gear, unable to do anything without the special doctors. She’d need them to treat the man immediately.
Mayumi needed to take out the disease as quickly as possible, and with as little ammunition as possible. Luckily the presenting disease didn’t seem to strong.
“Specialist doctor, Mayumi Avyanna! More doctors are on the way!”
Mayumi fumbled to quickly show her medical badge before shoving it back in her coat.
“Dr. Flowering! Sorry we couldn’t do anything. Our teams and staff are limited due to there being so many diseases.” A younger doctor spoke to her, looking terrified.
“I’ll take out the disease and you guys need to go in to treat the man.”
How do I do this though? She thought to herself.
She’d need the disease to get further away from the man. Maybe if she shot away at the strings … Did that work before?
Trying to get through her memories of countless lectures and training, she picked a few useful things, and moved out. Time was wasting away.
She pulled out her gun, shooting off the hand that was spraying the man. Then she shot where the strings were connected to the disease, in attempt to get it off.
As she slowly tried to push it back, it looked like it was ready to lurch forwards.
Mayumi switched guns, and shot through the core and head of the disease.
The strange sickly blood of it showered down on her.
At least this disease won’t burn me.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Nova scowled at his tone. The others had decided that working together would benefit them, but she didn't really like the idea. She had voted for going solo, so apparently she was working solo. Scoffing at Colton, she started to run in the direction Mayumi had gone, coat flying behind her, knives sliding into her palms.
