So, this idea has randomly sprung upon me. The characters each have a partner that they're tied to by a mental leash. The relationship can be platonic, romantic, whatever you choose. His familiar is a rarity among witches, a tiny dragon he befriended when he was nineteen that decided to stick around. Occasionally he’ll even try to flirt with whoever is currently trying to kill him, because, as he’ll often complain, “all the bad people are hot.”
