Tom glanced up at the sun. "Yeah… but you know the outside…"

"yeah, we're under the constant barrage of the glowing hate orb. yet again i didn't really leave the weld shop so…" she shrugged

"Weld shop?" Tom asked. "Do you weild or…?"

"i can weld but they do have flaws. you do anything special in school or…?" she asked looking back at him

"uh… well… i just kinda do music…." He lowered his head. "I don't really… do much…"

she shrugged and slowed down to keep pace with him "well, you can learn. with time you can learn to do anything."

"I dont really see…." He snickered quietly. "i dont really see the point in that… i dont really have a point…. in learning anything…"

"Oi, you learned how to play, you learned the songs. you can learned those because you put your mind to them. you can learn anything you want." she sounded hopeful trying to get him to see from a different perspective.

He went silent. "I don't think anything has meaning though…"

she dropped her violin case and hugged him "stop… just… no, just no. everything has meaning, you give it meaning." you're an idiot, this is not how you help someone see.

(Yeah, hugging someone is not how you help a one-eyed person see XD)

"….Okay…" He murmured.

(she doesn't know what to do)
she let go of him and picked up her violin case what do i do? what do i say? how can i help? i WANT to help him. "i…" she sighed "lets just keep moving."

(i know, im making a joke)

He continued walking, glancing at the buildings and at the cars that laid empty at the sides of the road. Where actually is everyone?
"Where do you think a shopping center would be?" He asked, breaking the silence.

"probably… over there somewhere?" she pointed to a small stretch of road leading to a few buildings "i don't really think than any house would be there."

"Yeah…. good idea." He nodded and headed in that direction.

Seraph followed close behind him humming the tune she had learned back at the Cafe.

Tom entered the parking lot and looked at the stores. Phone stores, phone stores… He scanned for a suitable store. He spotted a Verizon store. He turned to Seraph. "Hey, does a Verizon phone work?"

"Yeah, just need a phone for now. i can buy a better one when we get out of here." she said walking a bit faster to match his pace.

"Ah, ok." He grinned lightly, only half of his lips curling upward. He noticed her falling behind and slowed down a bit.

she gave a smile at the one-eyed man "thank you." she said as they walked up to the store.

"It's..uh…nothing." He resisted the urge to scratch the back of his neck. He questioned why his body wanted to scratch his neck, it was fine.

she pushed open the door and held it open for tom, once he was in she let go of the door and began to look around. "they've got quite a selection here…"

"Well, uh… take your time." He stuttered.

Seraph looked at a few phones and even saw the same model as the one back where she was struck. she decided it would be a good idea to check in the back but there was a computer tower she didn't see, and she fell forward onto Tom "SHIT!" she exclaimed as she tripped.

He caught her in his arms, his reflexes kicking in but he was unprepared for the weight and fell backward with Seraph in his grasp. He fell to the ground with a thud, Seraph still on him.
