I think that having the categories is a good idea, but perhaps it would be best to keep them quite general to prevent having to click through a lot of sub-categories to get to a single roleplay. I think that having too many categories to click through would become quite tedious in the long run.

@BookAddict

I agree. I think pick one thing to organise them by, and leave it at that. Although I still like the idea of the age rating tags.

Do you think we can have some sort of chat notification like a notification pops up on your screen whenever someone has chatted on your rp and you click on it to take you there, kind of like pinterest?

Im just going to repost this again because i strongly would want this if we were to seperate the rps into all sorta of things and it qould also take lots of clicking.

@StarkSpangledMayflower_Mad_Elder

What if we have a sort of seperate screen where all the Rps we are part of are? Kind of like an inbox for Rps. And if that does become a thing then maybe an option to sort them in our own categories. So when I log in, foexample, I am shown my ‘inbox’ in which I can see all the Rps I’m in. Then there is another button than will take us to a separate screen which shows us all of the categories from which we can choose a new Rp to join.

I agree. I think it would make it easier to find the groups we're apart of if maybe there was an option to go straight to it. (I apologize that my example is not well thought out, but it's the easiest way to wrap my mind around it.) The first example that comes to mind is Quotev. It will show you what quizzes and stories you've bookmarked/ liked that you can later click back on to enjoy or check on updates. I don't mean to seem like a Quotev sponsor; it was just the first thing to come to mind. Also, a notification icon would be very helpful. Sorry if I don't make much sense, I've never been good with words. @Firesky did a great job of explaining, though. Thanks for your time.

And like how @AmericasFavoriteFightingFrenchGirl_LAFFETTE! jas states more than once, it would also be nice to have a way to see when someone has commented on your Rp. That way we don’t have to constantly refresh the page. I also would like it if we could see the other massages without refreshing the page. It would be nicer if we can see what other have written so we don’t write the same thing

@icecubes

wait guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,, idk if it's hard or difficult or something, but being able to roleplay on mobile would be nice EDiT: okay, just discovered you technically can, you just have to type in the direct url

I feel like this has already been suggested, but what if instead of separating entire rps by rating, there's an option to rate it when creating the rp, like the title. That way you could change the rating if it goes in a different direction than you'd expected, and there would only be one grouping mechanism (probably by genre), but the rating of each rp would show up next to the title.

@rebelwithareadingproblem

Also, rating. Like, PG or G or PG13 or R or anything in between? I think that would help since a lot of young people (including me) want to keep their innocence. It would also help for what people choose what to respond in the chat forum. And also, maybe there should be a "Kick" or "Unkick" option for the people who have made the thread so if someone is being abusive on the chat then they can simply boot the user out. It would be a good thing to put on all chat forums, actually. Sorry if my ideas are stupid, you don't have to take my advice, I'm just putting it out there as a suggestion and nothing more.

I think that the kick or a kind of uninvited button would be good..and if you were inviting someone into an rp you could just click a button or something like that..ratings would be good too

@StarkSpangledMayflower_Mad_Elder

I think the main thing we want are
• a button to be able to invite and kick people in/out if RPs
• a way to sort RPs based on age ratings
• an inbox like thing to sort RPs we have joined
• a way to rate it when making the RP
• a way to use keyboard shortcuts or a list of Notebook.ai keyboard shortcuts
• a notification that tells us when someone commented on our RPs
• for the comments of other players to show while we are still typing our own
• for a notebook.ai app which lets us navigate through all the forums without us having to manually type the URL in the search box

@rebelwithareadingproblem

I'm always having to go back and edit my post because someone sends something while I'm typing and I don't see it until after I hit Reply. And I agree, there should be an Inbox-like thing for rp's that you've responded to/are following.

@BrownMouse_ProudMemberOfTheForkCult_CatsAreDaBomb

I think familiarity is probably the best way to go - when I was starting out roleplaying I had been kind of stalking the whole "roleplaying" thing for a year but I couldn't quite figure out how it worked in a sense of how to do it or really most things for that matter. I feel like familiarity is probably pretty good because that way someone who was like me and didn't know how to do it and by extension almost what it was? Like it was a word people tossed around but at a time it seemed too complicated to find something that I, as a beginner, could join without it going over my head.

• a way to sort RPs based on age ratings
• a way to rate it when making the RP

To that end you could add a rating to the title of the thread (ex: [PG-13] "RP Title here"), then someone can search for a rating and find all the RPs with that rating.

It's not exactly what your asking for, but it should work in the mean time.

I think that having a drop-down tab off to the side that lists the one that the user participates in/follows/made would be nice. It would make it so that they can easily locate the ones that they can't remeber the name of, and the ones that were burried by newer rps…. I actually think that it would be a good idea to have this feature across all boards.

Well We were wanting a sort of ‘inbox’ for th RPs but a drop down menu would also work I’m guessing

I think that having ratings based on how graphic the content will be would help.

    I really like the “Kick/Unkick” idea. It gives more weight to “If you break the rules, we will *ask* you to leave."
    I personally think genre would be the best, just so role players can try out role plays knowing what type of stuff it will have so they won't have to read through every single post, and I think familiarity wouldn't work quite as well because unexperienced role players could be like, “Yeah, I think an expert rp would be fun. I'm gonna join that,” then downgrade the quality of all the sections.

@Rvan group

Maybe also be able to filter it, like role plays you've commented in will pop up at the top, and then most recent below those
