"thanks guys!" she looked at Kendra "i got promoted at work and have now earned enough to take Cal to the amusement park of his choice, want to join? i can take you, Cal, Vivian, and myself on a day trip to the amusement park! the others have no idea about any of this." she said with a sneaky grin at the end
"Wait how did I get involved in this?" She was very fine with spending a day at an amusement park, though wasn't sure why she was picked.
"Um heck yes i do" she said excitedly. she was already planning a cute outfiit
"Well you are in the kitchen with the 3 of us so i guess taking you along is a fair desicion!" she said, hapily cutting her pancakes
She shrugged, "Fine by me…"
A thought hit her. "Wait, are we doing it today?"
Kendra refilled her cup with coffee and sat at the table with the others
"Wha about tomorrow? we can be more prepared that way!" she said bringing her plate to the sink and grabbing her cffee mug
Abby intervened, "No, you can't just up and do that, Olivia."
"Why can't she? whats the problem?" she said shooting Abby a look
"You have school," Abby answered. "You all have school, work, or other responsibilities that take priority."
"we dont on the weekends. And i dont have school, i have work. but i do have off days anyway" she contradicted, "besides were all cooped up here most of the time and sometimes you have to get away for a little bit. we cant all sit here together and not need a break from each other at some point"
Abby thought. "So, you're suggesting this weekend?"

"im suggesting options. and taking responsiblity" she said, pointedly.

Abby softened, then stiffened, but gave in. "You can all go on Saturday. I'll stay here."
"you do that. what day is it again?" she said. being out of high school and not having to write the date a million times a day has totally thrown her off
"it's friday, but it's a holiday. i had work yesterday and i dont have to go into work until monday."
Abby turned away and went to the bathroom.
"Oh heck Friday already. glad its a holiday, i dont wanna go to work today anyway" she said, crossing her legs and sipping her coffee.
Abby let a single tear slide down her cheek and she wiped it away as quickly as it came. "Think about them." She left and walked out. She hugged Kendra tightly and spoke into her ear. "You're right. I'm wrong. I'll stop."
Kendra stiffened bu brought her free hand up to Abby adn hugged her back anyway
Abby sat next to her. "Ok. So clearly, I don't know you anymore. So, tell me what's up. Everything that I need to know about the Adult Kendra."

"well id rather not be treated like a child, i turned 18 months ago. i feel powerless and i get it your older and sure you make the tough calls and your "mom"" she said with air quotes, "so you take care of all of us. I want to help out too. and something feels off somewhere. i dont know where or who but somethings wrong and i cant figure it out. by all means correct me if im wrong"
