"Tell Kai to stop being moody!" Beau exclaimed as he looked towards their mother, motioning towards the older boy in frustration. The last thing he wanted was for Pluto to be scared like that to the point that he would practically hide behind someone.
"Okay, Kai go to your room, I'll find your socks. Pluto, if you did take his socks it's better to tell the truth then lie, and Beau, keep them busy while I put on some gosh darn clothes?" she sighed, balling her shift up in her hands and placing her fists on her hips
"Fine," Kai grumbled, "just tell Pluto to say the hell away from my things and I'm fine." He stormed out of the room.
"Language Kai!" she shouted at him as he walked out of the room. "Okay, so Pluto honey, did you take his socks? Maybe you took them and didn't know it."
Pluto watched Kai leave, clutching Beau's arm tightly. "I didn't take anything, I promise." He insisted, staring at the open doorway.
"Okay. I'm trusting you" she replied, locking eyes with him as if to lure the truth out of him. "Beau, what are your plans for today?" she asked
"Uh, I don't have much to do today," Beau answered in thought, pulling Pluto into a small side hug as he looked up towards his mother. He had some studying, but it couldn't possibly take that much time to do, could it?
"Any tests coming up?" she asked, practically reading his mind.
Pluto pulled his oversized gray hood back off of his head. The fact that the sweatshirt was so big on him just made him seem even smaller. He looked between his mother and Beau curiously.
"An astronomy one in Science and another in math," Beau replied, shrugging faintly as he glanced down towards Pluto. The science test should be fairly easy, though math was a subject that he had struggled with often.
"You need to study?" she asked, making sure he knew it was a question
"Yeah, I need to study for an hour for each topic maybe?" Beau answered, fidgeting the hem of his hoodie as he looked towards his mother. He was still a bit tired, the pajama pants and his disheveled hair clearly reflecting that as a small yawn escaped him.
"You didn't sleep last night did you?" she asked, walking over to him and brushing her hand through his hair, hugging him
What's that? Pluto was distracted by something outside the window. He got off the bed silently, his feet landing softly on the floor as he walked over to the window and looked out of it. There was an owl right outside, perched on a splintery tree branch.
"Not too much," Beau mumbled as he leaned into her touch, almost feeling as if he could sleep in the position right now. He yawned once again, closing his eyes for a couple moments before opening them once again. "Is everyone else up?" He asked, pulling away for a few moments as he looked up towards his mother.
"Camilla is downstairs and already complaining" she laughed, brushing his hair out of his face, "Other then that you guys are the only ones I've checked on yet, but your older sisters and brothers can take care of themselves." she hummed
Pluto sat on the floor, staring intently at the owl. It stared back at him unblinkingly, its bright amber eyes shining in the dim morning sun.
"Sounds like Camilla," Beau sighed, chuckling lightly as he glanced over at Pluto, noticing that he had taken fascination in a figure outside. He walked over towards them, looking over the younger boy's shoulder to notice an owl as well. He studied it for a few moments, noticing that it's amber eyes reflected his own .
Venus got out of her room with pretty pink nails. She walked around wondering where in the world the others are.
Ana laughed lightly and left the two boys alone, walking downstaires to see Camilla
Pluto didn't seem to realize that Beau had approached him, sitting perfectly still. His eyes flitted back and forth, drawing in information and details from outside the window. He remained silent.
Beau sat down next to Pluto, bringing his longer legs into a cross-legged position as he glanced over at the younger boy. "What are you up to, kiddo?" He asked, tilting his head to the side curiously as he studied the owl for a few moments.
Kai wandered through the hallway, his brows lowered. Should he have yelled at Pluto like that? Nah, probably not. But he wasn't about to fix it, either. After all, the kid stole his socks. So caught up in his thoughts, he almost ran into one of his siblings. (anyone who wants to talk to Kai lol)
(Lol Venus can.)
Venus moved quickly out of the way, "Woah Kai. What's up?"
