Sam looked at Emberly scathingly. "Hey, I'd rather be plain than a two-faced bitch like you," (Sam is kind of hot headed and jumps to conclusion a lot.)
“Plain isn’t going to win ththis Selection, sweetie,” she said, fake smile on her face. “And it won’t help you once you’re out either.”
Brianna watched the speaking match like a spectator at a tennis match. “Um… if..its… okay? I’ll just… go.”
She walked over to a couch and began reading the book she’d brought down from her room.
"Once the prince sees who you really are, you'll be gone, just like that," Sam snapped their fingers. "And hey, who says that I even entered to win his heart? I'm only here to help my family, and then I'll get out of here,"
Rae laughed lightly and took Eve's hand. She stood up and dusted herself off. "No worries. Where are you headed?"
"Just wandering. I don't feel like going to the Women's room just yet." Eve laughed.
“Sam- was it Sam? - don’t you even start to judge me. Maybe I’lol accept your criticism once I trust your opinion.”
Rae rolled her eyes. "No kidding. Always so full of giggles and magazines."
"I know. Too much gossip for me." Eve agreed. "Hey, that reminds me. After the guests leave, I was going to go for a horse ride to get away from here for a little bit. Wanna join me?" she asked, hoping for Rae's company.

Sam shrugged. "Fair enough," They went back to the room, deliberating if they should wear a dress, but they had no intention of showing weakness whatsoever.

Rae was glad she'd asked. Some fresh air would do her a world of good. "I'd love to," she said brightly.

At that moment, Brianna decided to leave the Women’s Room and walk outside to the gardens, passing Eve and Rae on her way out.
Rae waved at Brianna. "Hey, Brianna," she called.
“Hi, Rae. How’s it going?”
She shrugged. "Got a date tonight. Until then I'm just going to try and relax, maybe read up a bit."
“Sounds fun. Do you want to hang out in the gardens together and read? That was my plan, anyway.”
(As in she was going to read out there alone)
"Yeah, sure." She turned back to Eve. "Meet you in the stables once the guests are gone." She faced Brianna. "Shall we?"
“We shall,” Bri smiled. The two girls, books in hand, strode out to the gardens.
Rae walked happily along with Bri. "What are you reading?"
"Yeah, sure." She turned back to Eve. "Meet you in the stables once the guests are gone." She faced Brianna. "Shall we?"
"Okay, see you later!" Eve called after her as she left. Eve turned and continued exploring the castle and the gardens. She hadn't gotten much time to explore since she'd gotten here and she wanted to take the time to get away and relax.
Maxon took the crown off his head, and adjusted his suit just a bit. He was planning to go down to the dining room, looking to get some strawberry pastries. Maxon wanted to get his mind off all the work he had sitting on his desk. He walked out of his room, nodded to the guard posted there, and made his way downstairs.
Eve continued to walk around the castle and walked past the kitchen, noticing that the castle cooks were preparing a giant cake for the guests tonight. "Can I help?" she asked the chef in charge.
"Of course child." She smiled at waved Eve over. She began stirring the batter, preparing for it to go into the oven pan. She and the cooking staff spent the next hour laughing and decorating pastries and preparing the dinner for the guests.
(Sorry, I decided to do a small time skip XD)
Sam headed to the dining room to grab some pastries. Screw the rest of the Selected, who needed friends when you could have food?
Rae walked happily along with Bri. "What are you reading?"
“Re-reading, actually,” Bri said. “It’s one from before that I found, A Wrinkle in Time. “
