"I'm shouldn't really tell you," Breeze shrugged, "Ask the two who want to go there."
"I'm shouldn't really tell you," Breeze shrugged, "Ask the two who want to go there."
Her brows arched, and she turned to the other two with a frown. "Well?" she asked.
Chiara sighed. “Weapons place, bambina.”
"Just some ammunition for weapons." Riann explained, finally talking. She continued to watch Nyir's movements. They were exact and perfect. Inquisition training perhaps.
Nyir inclined her head. "Do they do weapon repairs? That might be more suited for my purposes."
"And you talk," Breeze looked at the sun. The shop should be opening soon, she wasn't going to tell them that she was going there anyway, "Well you three fine looking ladies let's go!"
Chiara rolled her eyes, nodding at the girl, who she recognized as Nyir. The sun beat down in her back, but she didn’t sweat, only let out a soft groan to express her dislike of heat.
"Let's go then. I don't want to take up anymore of your time," Nyir responded.
Breeze lead them through the city streets before she reached the shop, "And we're here."
The shop had just opened, Breeze could tell by the amount of people here. Perfect she could get what she needed without much question.
Riann nodded, resisting the urge to place her hand on the hilt of her sword. With the Inquisitors bustling around the streets, she didn't need any more attention drawn to herself.
The weapons shop was quiet, Nyir noted with some relief. She didn't want a large crowd. Stepping into the store, she took in the array of weaponry hanging on the wall and placed on shelves. It was nice, if not a bit shady. She headed towards the front counter.
Danielle took a deep breath and jumped up on a roof, flipping a dagger in the air as she walked casually on the edge of the building.
Breeze walked towards the back of the shop. She needed to know if it had come in. One of the workers spotted her and immediately walked towards her.
"How are you doin' Breezy?" they asked her.
"Doing just fine," Breeze responded, "Is it here?"
"Yep. It's in the back I'll go get it for ya," the worker left to go get it.
Chiara studied a rack with ammunition, her one hand lightly tracing the tiny slice out of her left earlobe. Strands of dark hair came loose from her braid, falling in front of her face. In the gentle path of the sunlight slanting through the window, she looked quite peaceful. For once.
Nyir greeted the woman at the counter. "I need my sword sharpened. How much?"
The woman motioned for her to bring the sword onto the counter. Nyir hesitated, then brought the weapon out, placing it on the counter for inspection. The woman scowled. "An Inquisitor weapon? How odd."
"I stole it," Nyir responded in a deadpan voice. "Don't be an idiot."
The woman's scowl deepened. "I hope you don't think your winning yourself any favors by being hostile. I won't serve you."
Nyir's hands clenched. She took a breath. "I just need my damn weapon sharpened. I'll pay double."
Riann walked towards one of the racks, tracing the engravings of different hilts lightly. Jewels decorated some, others were dark with concentric golden circles spread out across. Each had a small Arabic engraving, one reading سوف تمر هذه العاصفة, this storm will pass. Riann looked up, feeling as though she was being watched, but she dismissed the thought.
The worker returned with a sling shot, custom made for Breeze, and a pouch of illegal herbs.
"Here you go," they handed her the items, "Boss says it's free as a thank you for what you did for him."
"It wasn't that big of a deal," Breeze responded taking the items and putting them in her bag.
"You stopped an entire Inquisitor squadron from shutting our shop down in one fell swoop!" the worker exclaimed, "Of course it's a big deal!"
"I really didn't do anything though," Breeze responded, "It was just sleeping powder I fashioned into a explosive ball. All of the Inquisitors woke up with a minor case of amnesia so they shouldn't come back anyway."
"See a big deal!" they shouted again.
"Thanks for getting these for me," Breeze told them.
"No problem," the worker walked away. Breeze hoped no one had heard their conversation.
Chiara finally selected a pack of ammo, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a handful of hazelnuts to much on. Her gaze drifted to a shelf selling beautiful ornate bows.
Danielle watched Chiara from her perch. There was something off about her. Then again, she felt like there was something off about anyone. But this was different.
Riann tilted her head to the side, listening to the conversation between the girl and one of the metal workers. A small smile played on her lips as she heard what she had done. Sleep powder. Not bad. She thought, impressed by the girl's skill.
The woman glared at her. "Triple."
Nyir clenched her teeth. "If I were an Inquisitor, you'd be imprisoned for this. You're not the brightest, are you?" She slammed the money down onto the counter, whirling around and heading back the way she came. "Have it sharpened by tonight."
Breeze breathed out a sigh of relief when no one came to question her. She decided to try and blend in by looking around the shop.
(What’s off about Chiara @Nat? Just curious lol)
Chiara couldn’t help a smirk after she heard the conversation. “Stupefacente.”, she murmured, amused.
(I'm not really sure yet………..I'm figuring it out…………..lol but she has to have some reason to still be involved in the story soooo……………)
Riann looked over at Chiara, sharing the same smirk. She raised a brow, asking her silently if they should ask the girl about it.
