Alex started scanning the shelves looking for that new game. Ah. Here it is. Alex took it off the shelf and went up to the counter to pay. On his way to the counter he thought he saw Grayson. That can't be him. Why would he be here. Alex shrugged it off.
Grayson’s eyes widened. ALEX??! Nooo that can’t be him..
As Alex paid for the game he talked to the workers. He knew them pretty well, after all he did come here a lot.
Grayson quickly sketched the guy who looked like Alex and kept his eyes on him.
After Alex paid he turned around to leave. He saw someone who, was either Grayson or looked exactly like him, stareing at him. The quickly moved around a display shelf and hid, not in the mood to talk, let alone see Grayson.
Grayson looked down at his sketchbook in a hurry when he realized Alex had seen him. He stood up and gathered his things.
Alex stayed behind the rack, not knowing when it was safe to come out. He ducked down, staying close to the ground.
Grayson hurried away past the game store. He glanced in the window and saw Alex hiding behind a shelf.
"Crap." Alex saw Grayson and moved away again. He ran around the corner, trying to get to his car without being seen.
Grayson felt his mouth drop open. It IS him! And he’s running away from me! He began to feel a little dizzy. He hates me..
Alex continued into the mall, wishing he parked closer. Why is he here? He shouldn’t be here.
Grayson backed up against a wall and followed Alex with his eyes. I knew I shouldnt’ve come here..
Alex tripped over his untied shoe. He fell flat on his face, his game went skidding across the floor. Pain fell upon him as he tried to pick himself up.
Grayson instinctively walked over to Alex. "You okay…?"
"Yea. I'm fine." Alex knew it was Grayson there but tried to avoid eye contact. He rushed over to pick up his game, pain slowing him down.
"I..um..I-I ok." He stuttered, turning away.
Alex bent over to pick up the game and tripped again. He sat there in defet.
Grayson offered his hand out of kindness. WHAT AM I DOING??
Alex took his hand and stood up, not wanting to be too rude. He avoided eye contact as he pushed out a "thanks."
Grayson stared wide eyed at their hands and then pulled back, glancing away from Alex.
Alex removed his hand from Grayson’s as soon as he stood up. He scratched the back of his head at the awkward moment. “So…”
Grayson cleared his throat. "Uh..um..yeah..so…"
"Um… So… How have you been…?" Alex looked around the mall.
"I've been better..how bout you?"
"Fine." Alex tried to slowly back away.
