(Gtg for today, ‘see’ you tomorrow)
He dressed quickly wanting to access the damage and start a plan as soon as possible. Shuri had acted differently the last few hours since Genesis and himself had been brought back. He opened the flaps again. “The queen also requires a meeting with her sisters as soon as possible, have that recorded so that I don’t forget.” He cleared his throat. “Now we must proceed with a plan for recovery,”

Snapping out of her thoughts, Shuri nodded and scribble a note among her stats. "Yes- uh…the battlefield has been swept. Most of the dead have been numbered and identified, putting our deaths at 516 foot soldiers, 450 riders, and 605 archers. We are in the process of having them sent back to the capital to be properly burried. Families shall be informed. No word has come from our battleships." She paused. "Weapons and and material have been scavenged and brought back for reuse. And all of the injuired have been cared for. I am hesitant on sending them back so quickly though, it is not clear if some will make it through the night. We will discuss a speech to inform the people of the stalemate at a later time." Shuri sighed. "And that leaves the matter of … Queen Genesis." She looked at him.

“1,571 deaths,” He sighed. “Genesis will return in due time, for now, we can finish cleaning up here. The fields will be stained with blood for a while, Not such a beautiful site. And since it is later, tell me why you were crying Shuri,”

Shuri turned abruptly. "That has nothing to do with the war. That has nothing to do with this situation, and that has nothing to do with you." She stated sharply. Though that last part was a lie, Shuri would die before she said anything to him about it. She had to get it into her mind that Lien was not her… or at least he would not be now. Not after what she saw.

@Meow

“Tell me Shuri,” It was wrong to pressure her into telling him something she obviously did not want to tell him. He took her shoulders and turned her to look at him, looking her straight in the eye.

Why was he pestering her about this? He didn't care. He didn't even know. He didn't know what he meant to her. He didn't know how much this who situation affected her. "Do you love her?" Her voice was barely above a whisper. Her blue eyes widened. "Do you love her?" She asked louder, her voice trembling.

@Meow

“Genesis? . . . I, I don’t know,” He stated. It did have to do with him, and Genesis. He could tell this was a lot for Shuri. Did Shuri love him? The idea was possible, her crying and trembling voice hinted that.

"Well then… how about you let me know when you find out. How about you tell me what you feel after she places her hands on your bare chest and kisses you a little more. Maybe you'll bed her before I find out." She wiped an escaping tear from her face. "But remember who was there for you from the beginning. Who has always been by your side, through good and bad. Remember the one who loved you first.." She then bowed lowly. "Good night King Lien. We shall resume our efforts tomorrow morning." And with that, she turned and walked away. That was it. All her cards were out on the table, it was his turn now, she would just have to wait and see what he would do with them. She returned to her tent. "Leave…" she muttered to the Queen who had taken residency there. She did not look as the Queen exited.

Genesis looked back at the woman as she left. She shook her head and began her trek. She wasn't sure where she would go, she just knew she couldn't go where she wanted. Home. Back to her people, back to her kingdom. No, she may never be able to go back. She was here now, bound by marking and by promise. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed, she had to figure something out. Wandering to the edge of camp, she came up short in options. She had already given her word.

@Meow

(Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry! I completely forgot about this)
“Shuri . . .” He whispered. Oh Shuri . . . What have I done. He turned back to his tent, laying back down on the cot. “I need to stay calm,” He flipped over, resting his head on his arms.

((Its alright! I did too for a time))

Genesis wasn't sure what she was to do now. She thought of running, of trying to make it back to the battle line. Were her soldiers looking for her? Did they think she was dead? Had they already chosen another ruler? Had they forgotten about her already?
All these possibilities ran through her head. She couldn't take the sorrow that filled her at the thought of her people just moving on like she hadn't existed.

Remember the one who loved you first . . . “What have I done, what have I- no. Stop,” He spoke to himself. He relaxed his stiffened muscles, enjoying the quiet. That’s what he needed for once. To have peace and quiet, to be alone. Have just at least a few moments to himself.

Genesis tried to calmed her furiously racing mind as she leaned heavily against a tree trunk. What am I going to do? What have I done? She shook her head. Things would never be the same after the choices she had just made.

@Meow

These were those moments, hopefully. Nothing should be able to disturb him. He sighed, truly enjoying the silence that so rarely received. What about Genesis?

Her hand moved towards the mark, rubbing it absentmindedly. She didn't make this choice. She didn't want this. Her eyes went up to the now darkening sky. "Why did you choose me? Why did you Bind us?" She asked, not expecting an answer.

@Meow

Genesis . . . What was the Light side thinking? "No, no, no," He scolded himself, he needed to enjoy these moments to himself. Why did he even care about Genesis? "Stupid mark, stupid moon,"

Genesis thought of the pull that she felt whenever she was around Lien. She shook her head as the image of that mark on his chest came to the surface. "You must have known this would never work right? We need to get a priestess…"
