"What do you have against kids?" She asked, shaking her head in disbelief.

Kofi sketched an eye on his parchment. He had always enjoyed drawing eyes for some reason. He liked to see how much detail he could put into them with just ink, and solid black pupils were somehow satisfying. The scratching of his quill could be heard from the hall.
"Nothing at all. Growing up with 4 younger siblings I think they're just fine. I just don't want my own. Especially the whole process of making one."

(As an artist, I feel this on a spiritual level.)
"You're going to need at least one, you know that," she pointed out. "You'll want it sometime down the road. Maybe not right now, and I understand that, but you can't go about not wanting kids forever."

(same)
"Yes I can. It does not interest me what so ever. I've made up my mind. No. Kids." She sighed. "Why does no one get this?"
(I'm an artist too, and I freaking love eyes. Although I do like drawing fur. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O-jHFYi6vzQYEsfI6w5CC_C8je-5D_Ag5CgzUnUDqSk/edit?usp=sharing this is my most recent drawing of my oc that doesn't have a name yet QwQ)
(Nice! The eyes are great!)

Kayin heard her sisters chatting in the hallway. No kids…I didn't know we had that option. She sighed as she opened the door to her room.

"Look. You can dislike some parts of our culture, and not want to participate in it, but having a child is customary, and quite frankly necessary. We need as many heirs as possible. With Amkwana's history of murdered monarchs, we only trying to be as cautious as possible."
Mbhali sighed again. "Fine. I still don't want kids, but will it make you happy if I say I'll make a baby if things take a turn for the worst?"
(Thanks Bittah qwq)
Kofi halted in his doodling, listening in to the conversation. A few drops of ink fell onto the parchment as he held his quill poised in the air.
"If you do get killed an heir is essential." Ngozi said coldly .
(they're no longer in the throne room xD)
"No, I'd prefer if you just made a baby for the risk but okay," she said, her accent truly showing now. She adjusted the head piece on her head.
(Wait, did Ngozi follow them?)
(Idk, did she?)
(Lol I thought they were still in the room! Sorry)
(It's fine xD)

"Humph. I'd honestly prefer to make a baby for love rather then risk if I wanted to making one."
"You just said you did not want to get to married. What are you going to do? Make a child out of wedlock or thin air?"
"I don't know! I'm just saying if I get forced into this whole thing of marriage, I'm only making one out of love."
"You're going to get forced into this thing whether you like it or not," she said. "Now, we should go check the preparations. Can you go find Kofi for me? He has a good eye for decorations."
Kayin sat on her bed, grabbing the small knife she kept under her bed. She unattached the blade and placed it beside her before turning the handle in her hands. She had been engraving symbols and artwork into it for the past week, and Kayin was nearly finished.
