(so sorry to do this, but I have to drop out. got an assignment i need to do and i'm just generally going to be busy with school for a long time. really sorry to drop out in the middle like this. give my character to someone else or do whatever, i don't know)
Lars yawned a little as he approached the North Side. He forgot who’s idea it was for all the immortals to meet up at midnight but he refused to miss out on the opportunity to annoy the others. The thought brought his usual smirk back to his face, despite still looking a little tired. ”Well, well, well… Must be my lucky night. Two pretty ladies all to myself for a while.” he said in his habitual flirty way as he entered the cafe and walked over to Zara and Roslyn. ”Who gets the first kiss?”
As per usual, Eudora arrived right on time into the restaurant, dressed in what would be called a casual outfit for her; a short purple floral and flowy dress paired with simple small heels. The only thing that looked out of place was her myriad of bracelets she had collected over the years. "My three favorite people, how are you?" She said, happily bumping Lars with her hip and sliding smoothly into the booth next to Zara. It seemed like forever since she had last gotten to meet everyone, but she was excited they were finally able to. "It's been forever since I've stepped foot in here, we should let you get everyone together more often."
Zara smiled as everyone rolled in. "It's nice to see you all again. I hope none of you have gotten into too much trouble." She teased. "And Lars, if those lips get anywhere near me, I will cut them off."
(I just realized I never explained too much about the immortality thing. They can get hurt like regular people, but they have a rapid healing factor and can get back up from anything that would normally kill a person. So, ex. cutting someone's lips off, would hurt a lot, but it would come back. Does that make sense?)
(Makes sense to me.)
”Promises promises Zara.” Lars chuckled, unfazed by the threat as he sat next to Rosy and casually draped his arm around her shoulders. ”Eudora, it's so good to see you too. Fashionable as always. Have you finally agreed to marry me?” he winked.
"You know I would in a heartbeat Larson," Eudora replied with matching flirtiness, winking in return, "As soon as you apologise for that incident in Europe in the thirteen hundreds." She grabbed the menu as she talked, already knowing that she was more likely going to steal food from everyone else than order anything. "Anyone have anything fun happen to them since we last saw each other?"
Rosie smiled softly, picking up a menu and deciding to just not mention the arm around to see how and when Lars would react. "Oh, not much, been to a few shows… did you know Slash's son started a band? I saw them at the Whiskey a Go Go, he's quiet the drummer-"
((Fun fact- that's an actual thing that happened, they're called Classless Act and you can find video of that set on youtube))
Lars chuckled, his smirk never fading. ”You’ll have to be more specific, Dora. Which ”incident” do I have to apologize for? Because I can't remember any that ended badly.” he shrugged playfully, keeping his arm in place as he looked at Rosie's menu. ”I haven't done anything new recently. Just been up to the usual stuff.” he admitted to the others. ”I haven't heard from Slash in years though. His kid as talented as he is?”
Rosie shrugged slightly. "Well, I have no idea about London's guitar skills, but I wouldn't be surprised if Steven Adler himself taught him drums." She said, smiling slightly. "Or, at least, was a heavy influence." Her fingers, nails decorated with chipped black polish, tapped against the menu slightly, itching for a cigarette.
She rolled her eyes but laughed lightly as she talked, "The one that included one blackout drunk Lars that I had to make sure didn't make too big of fool of himself?" Eudora wrinkled her nose at the nickname, then glanced at Rosie and smiled again, "Is he really that good? I haven't heard anything by his son, but if he's anything like his father he has to be good."
Zara sat in silence as she watched her friends banter and tease each other. "I missed this." She said with a smirk. "We really do need to get together more often."
”Oh… The one where you took me back to your place and I was too hungover to move the next morning?” Lars nodded a little embarrassed by that memory. ”But I had so much fun being taken care of by you. At least I didn't make a habit of it.” he said unapologetically as always. ”Maybe we should try to go to one of their shows sometime… Together, I mean. Like we used to.” he suggested sincerely for the first time that night.
"That's the one." She nodded, shrugging and winking at the male once again, "That's the price for me to agree to your proposal." Eudora's face lit up at the suggestion of going to a show and she nodded eagerly, glancing at the other three, "I think that would be an amazing idea, definitely. We have to do that sometime, hopefully before I have to fly to the other end of the world and start another life."
"You don't have to do that too soon, do you?" Zara asked, raising an eyebrow. "I swore you just did that not too long ago." She rested her chin on her hand.
(@PrettyLittlePyro, you can come in whenever you want.)
Rosie looked up. "Did something happen?" She asked softly, putting the menu down. "Why so soon?"
One thing Lars knew adamantly about himself, aside from being unable to permanently die, was that he wasn’t the marrying type. ”Why would I apologize for that?” he smirked a little softly, not willing to hurt his only real friends in the world. He rolled his eyes at Eudora’s mention of starting over. ”That’s always such a hassle. It was easier during wartimes…”
"I did it..what now fifteen years ago?" Eudora ticked the years by on her fingers, then shrugged, "Someone has already asked me how I look like I haven't aged a year since I've lived here." She chuckled and shook her head, tapping the menu, "I probably have a year or two left here though, so no rush. I know what I want to get by the way, anyone else? I'm ready to get off the depressing topic of starting over."
"If it only the people close to you, just move to another town, no need to move to another country yet." Zara suggested. "You could come stay at my place if you want! I wouldn't mind a roommate." She joked.
”I’m guessing none of the usual lines are working if you're serious about having to leave…” Lars raised a brow slightly. He knew Eudora was smart and would have already tried that tactic, even if it only bought her another couple years at best. He shook his head, though he agreed with getting off this topic. A little reluctantly, he removed his arm from Rosie's shoulder to call over the waitress. ”Everybody else know what they want?”
Eudora shrugged, then laughed lightly, "Sometimes people are more keen than others, none of my usual excuses have done anything. This is my fourth move around the country in less than seventy years, it's probably time for me to hit the road for a while anyway. It's just fate telling me at this point." She smiled gently, winking at Lars and then grinning at the other two girls, "You're free to come along, we could go for another 'family' road trip?"
A smirk spread across Zara's face at the mention of a road trip. "I would love to go on another road trip with you guys. As long as I don't wake up face down in the Mississippi River again." She said, nudging Eudora with a smile. "Can we make a rule of no getting blackout drunk this time around?"
”Oh, come on Zara. Getting that drunk is half the fun.” Lars chuckled, shaking his head a little. ”What’s the worst that can happen? We've all woken up with each other at least once. Plus, I got a few homemade brews we can bring along.” he winked, hinting at his unforgotten hobby from the prohibition.
Rosie smiled. "Well, as long as I don't get alcohol poisoning again, I'm in." She said, playing with her bracelet again. "You know I can't turn down a good trip. Haven't since the sixties…"
