Lance ran out shortly after the others, wondering what all the commotion was about, “What the hell was…” He stopped and swallowed.

Adrianna got up slowly, holding her hands out to show that she meant no harm. There were little signs of emotional distress on her face, except for the fact that she was biting her lip so hard that a single drop of blood dripped onto her chin. "Hey. It's okay. He's gone now," she said, her voice quavering slightly. Her brown eyes started to slightly glow golden and amber without her knowledge.
Zhira looked up, a small whine escaping her muzzle as she saw the people round the corner come on… back to human back to a human… her whole body filled with warmth again and, all of a sudden, she was back to a human, clothes and all. Her blue gaze flicked up, "What the hell just happened?" She croaked
“You… you turned into a wolf.” Lance said once he had composed himself, “Have you always been able to do that?”
Zhira shook her head, "No!" She said, "A-and of all animals…" her eyes were filled with panic and confusion, "I-I don't know how… why…. I don't even know if I can do it again… and I don't think I want to" she looked back up
Adrianna was unable to speak, and she merely stood there, in shock. The light in her eyes faded away, and she let out a shuddering sigh. Finally. she looked up. "Does this relate to how your clothes got ripped?"
“W-We’ll figure it out. Come in, we should head back inside.” Lance said, reaching out to offer her a hand before he retracted it incase she didn’t want to be touched.
Col just watch still kinda shocked she was a wolf a few minutes ago.
Zhira looked at Adrianna, "Kind of?" She offered vaguely before turning to Lance. She hesitated, then nodded, "Yeah. Okay. It's cold" she shivered, rubbing her arms, then lead the way back into the coffee shop. The brunette turned to Adrianna, "Is there a back room or something? I don't want to talk about this so publicly…"
Adrianna took off her jacket, draping it on the girl's shoulders. Normally, she didn't show this much kindness, but if someone had just turned into a wolf for the first time, exceptions were made. "Come on, you must be freezing. Oh!" she said, remembering something. "And you never told me your name."
Zhira pulled the jacket close around her, surprised by the girl's kindness, "Zhira" she said, "Yours?"
Adrianna hesitated for only a moment. I can't call myself Adrianna. "Evelyn Hamada," she said, testing out the way that name felt on her tongue. "No nicknames, please."
(just want to know, is zhira pronounced she-ra, zee-ra, or ji-ra? i think it's ji-ra, but i'm not too sure- not like gee-ra, kind of like a combination of ji and she? sorry i'm really bad at explaining stuff)
Zee-ra//
Zhira nodded, "Do you have a back room?" She repeated, "I just…. I need a minute" she swallowed, looking at her feet
Adrianna understood the concept of personal space all too well. "Yeah, it's just back here. If the manager comes in, just tell her about that bastard. She'll understand." She opened a door to a small, but cozy, room, filled with different equipment and types of coffee bean jars.
"Thank you" Zhira breathed, sitting down slowly at the small round table inside. She put her head in her hands, memories flowing back to her, of her mother, and the attack… her wolf form looked just like the wolf that killed her mother. But… but why?
Col went inside and sat down at one of the tables and took out his phone.
