Kalex stood up with the male, but held his hand out to stop Aiden from pulling anyway money from his coin purse.
"please I don't want anything like that I just saw you drop your stuff and thought I would offer a hand."
He did want something just not the man's money, nor a drink.
He wanted information, but he would wait till a more appropriate time to ask.
He gave back the stuff he picked up to the male, making sure they wouldn't fall over again when he did.
He smiled at the male, shaking his hand.
"Kalex. It's nice to meet you Aiden." He turned from the male to the female.
"I assure you, my intentions toward you are nothing insincere or dirty minded. I simply wish to help you out with your money troubles." He spoke to the female.

Aiden nodded "Well, what can I do then?" He said with faint hiccups, whispering to himself "crap, I need to sober up…"

"Is just that… I was taught to, quite literally, pay for the favors people do me, so…" he gestured vaguely while fixing his hair and jewelry, "Well you don't have to acept any weird elven tradition is just that… Am I… Am I making this worse, aren't I? Haha…" his voice got softer as he spoke, leading to him hiding his face behind a hand covered by rings and bracelets with chains and a tattoo of a flame.

He sighs, "Thank you—" he stopped after seeing Kalex talking to a lady he didn't know, "—Oh, I'm interrupting, my apologies.:

Aiden, was his name? Ski’s eyes roved over him, noting the jewelry and tattoo. She briefly wondered where he was from, who his family was. Why he was here.
The one named Kalex must have noticed her miffed expression. She huffed. “But why? I’m no one. What’s in it for you if you help me? Insincerity was the first thing I thought of.”
She pulled her hood tighter around her face, a terrifying thought coming to her mind. This had to be a trap. He must be someone who came to take her back to her owners. She slowly stepped back a few paces, deciding to resort to stealing anyway.

"Well I guess there's nothing really in it for me, I'd still like to help you out though. Then i guess we could be friends, or we could part ways. You looked like you were in deep crap so I thought I would help is all, really." He spoke to the female, trying to make sure she wouldn't continuously get the wrong idea, she got her suspicion no one randomly goes up and offers help for nothing.
He turned back to Aiden, "You're really not, I just wanted to help the lady with her troubles, if she were having any. However, if I could talk to you later that would be much appreciated." He smiled at Aiden before waving down another bar staff.
"Could I get this man some water please? thank you." He smiled at the bar staff before shoving his hand in his pockets, he rustled around until he found a coin sack, filled halfway.
He pulled it out, tossing it at Ski.
"There, that should help you with whatever you need. i would hate for you to resort to stealing."

@Tired-but-passionate

She stared at Kalex in utter confusion. Now this didn’t look like a trap to her at all. He just scarily and accurately described her situation and gave her the means to escape it. Her gaze dropped to the coin sack. That could be enough to get her north…
She swiped it from the table and hid it beneath the folds of her cloak. Then she returned to staring at Kalex. Could he prove useful?
She wanted to talk with him in private, but Aiden was a problem. And the cubs needed food.
She took a breath, planning things out in her mind. Food comes first. Get what you need, both for now and the future. Then come back to see how much this confusing man knows.
“Thank you. I’ll admit, you’ve helped me greatly.”
She moved past him, spotting the bartender from earlier and nervously asked him for a pound of meat (beef and chicken) and a bowl of milk. She dug out a few gold coins, and ignoring the bartender’s slightly confused look, went back to her table, the cup of tea still there.

Kye silently observed the people that were coming in and out of the tavern. The tavern girl had brought him his water but he hadn't taken a single sip of it. Thankfully, he was pretty good at staying out of the center of attention. He found some of the individuals slightly intriguing. Although he didn't move to talk with any of them.
We still have a chance to leave you know.
No.
But we're still inconspicuous. So no one would notice.
This is the first time I have had to sit for more than five minutes in a chair. I am enjoying this, and will continue to enjoy this until something happens.
And what if nothing happens?
Then I am staying here for a long time.

"Oh, look at that, I gotta go!" Said Aiden inbetween hiccups, walking to the door, "Emmm… Goodbye!" And with that he went outside, stumbling a little and still waving back.

"Goodness, that was close…" he sighs and tries to calm down, looking at every side to check if anyone is watching. "Don't chicken out, Aiden, now you gotta return that book…" he muttered while checking among his belongings, making sure everything was well hidden.

"The things I do to get some proper knowledge…" he thought, making his way to the back alley and sat down, "First I gotta wait until this wares off.." he makes a why-did-I-do-that kind of noise and makes a small fire in front of him, "Why did you drink thar much? Oh right! Dad told you alchohol made socialising easier! And you only made it harder and awkward, good job Aiden… now you're drunk and annoyed another stranger…"

(Yay :D, sorry, it's just in character with Aiden's drunkness…. and social awkwardness… kinda want to apologize if I disspear for a while, there's lots of rain in my country which messes up with the wifi conection")

(Sorry if I dissapear at times, school is a mess, I got a bunch of exams and such, for the moment, imagine a drunk Aiden sitting in the floor just rambling about life to himself)

"I-"
He looked at the absence of Aiden, he wanted to follow him but he knew he couldn't just keep the lady waiting for who knows how long and he figured she wouldn't be okay with being dragged around by some strange man.
but dang, he had actually wanted to talk to that man. and he just up and ran.
he sighed, taking a moment to pop his head out and notice him going into an alley before popping his head back in.
he walked over to the female. "Hello, as much as i would love to talk, do you think you could wait a bit longer?" he hoped she would say yes, but didn't expect her too.

@Tired-but-passionate

Ski tapped the table in impatience, a rapid datdatdat on the oak. Her nerves buzzed. She probably shouldn’t have expected the meat and milk to come too quickly, but she couldn’t help but wish it had.
But then again, some wishes did come true. The Aiden problem was gone, and Kalex hadn’t gone after him. Although, his enthusiastic desire to talk to her was slightly off putting. She thought financially helping her had been enough, and that she’d have to confront him herself, later.
She studied him with her icy gaze, then relaxed her tapping hand. She tried to keep her accent in line as she said, “I think I could.”
But that doesn’t mean I’ll let you keep me from the cubs.

"Gooooood job, Aiden…" he said inbetween hiccups, trying to sit straight agaisnt the wall, "Just a couple of shots, yeah, then you went ahead and ordered the strongest thing they had, you idiot," he covered his face with his hands, sighs, and tries to relax.
"What do you do with a drunk sorcerer, what do you do with a drunk sorcerer? what do you do with a drunk sorcerer? Early in the morning."
Aiden laughs after hearing his voice cracking at every note, "Oh dear, why did it take so long to kick in? I normally get twice this drunk way faster…"he chuckles and starts to humn the same song.

Do peaked through the small peephole in the barrel. Ti had appointed him to keep watch for Ski, because he kept whining about missing her.
”Not Ski,” he reported. ”Tall singing man. He’s very-“
”Shhh!” Ti leaned forward, putting a finger to her lips. ”If it’s not Ski, be quiet!”
Do made a small whimper.
”Do you, uh, smell food?” Re offered. She was curled up with her knees to her chin, the farthest away from the peephole.
”No, no, no,” Ti turned on her. ”We can’t do that. Ski always says not to.”
She was referring to the fact that, to sniff out for food on Aiden’s person from here, they’d have to shift, which was very dangerous, as Ski told them.
”Oh, right. Sorry.” Re lowered her head.
Ti sighed, giving her siblings hugs so they didn’t feel too bad, and said, “Let’s wait for the singing man to go away.”

Aiden heard the sound of something moving, though he decided not to pay attention, is not like he could focus on anything either, he closed his eyes and leaned back, still humming, "Probably a cat or a rat or… ehh, something…" he thought.
"Must return this book…" he patted the bag where he was hiding it, making sure everything was in order, "Why did I have to steel thi– Oh right… they don't allow you to ask for those kinds of books…"
The hiccups didn't stop and Aiden seemed to be slowly yet surely drifting to sleep, randomly jumping back to consiousness and trying to keep himself awake.

Kalex felt something wave over him, probably relief as he thanked the girl and slipped out of the front door, he didn't know if she would stay but at least he gave her the money that could at least help her somewhat and wouldn't leave her stealing for whatever reasoning she had.
He walked out the door, and walked over to the alley way he had Seen Aiden walk into, walking over to him only to find that he was sleeping.
Great.
"um, Aiden?" He called out, not expecting a response but hoping for one all the same.
He had really wanted to know what the light was and if he was actually practising what he thought he might be.
