The Drill was built over a timeline of 30 years, and even then, is still worked on to this date. The Drill is exactly what you'd expect; a big drill, just drilling into the earth below it. Endlessly, as some would put it. The Drill was designed to pick out resources that could provide further usage to mankind, and destroy those not of need. However, about 3 years after The Drill was put into usage, we started running into further difficulties. More specifically, to the world around us. As The Drill dug deeper into the surface, earthquakes began. People died, were injured. Buildings collapsed. Perhaps this was our first warning to stop, but we simply researched ways to defend ourselves against the quakes, and continued working.
And then, it happened.
The Earth was angry at us, so it sent creatures to The Drill to destroy it. We call them Raiders. Raiders were typically classified by their durability and how much damage they could do. Class 1 of Raiders were easier to defeat, while Class 5 were much harder. But we dread the day we see a Class 10. The Raiders typically varied in appearance. Usually, they had legs. How many could vary. The Raiders looked to be made up of rock, and when you cut into them, they bled molten rock.
That's why we've made something. A team, specialized to defend against the Raiders, and to repair The Drill, while doing their tasks. The Team does their job, pretty well. Standards are certainly high to get into the team. But once you're in, you don't exactly go back.
Welcome to The Drill.
RULES
Alright, I'm going to make this quick. Just follow these rules, and we good.
- As always, the Roleplaying rules apply! Read them here if you haven't.
- Nothing too overpowered. Applies to characters and such. I think the only types of Raiders you can one-shot are Class 1s.
- On another note, you can only NPC (basically if nothing's going on, just bring an NPC Raider into the gang) Class 1 to Class 3 Raiders for now. I'll have a handy guide on the Raiders soon.
- If talking OOC, use ((hi)) or (hi). You can use more parentheses than that, but don't make it a million.
- There WILL be fighting. Make sure you're alright with that.
- Swearing is okay to do here.
- Multiple characters are okay, but make sure you can manage them all.
- Do not, and I mean, DO NOT kill someone's character without permission.
- In terms of fighting.. if you ever fight someone else's character, avoid dodging everything, but do not auto hit either. An example of auto hitting;
"I shoot them, injuring them."
A little bit improved:
"I attempt to shoot them, firing my gun."
Gives the other person a little option to decide what'll happen. But do not dodge everything, again. You might get injured in some form in this RP. - At least make the effort to not do one liners.
I know that's a bit of reading to do, and there's going to be a wee bit more.
CHARACTER FORMAT
It's alright to use characters you've created, but adjust them just so that they fit into the RP. Humans only, please (Character can have a pet, but it might be a little bit tricky.) You also don't need to bold the words, but you can if you feel like it.
Name
Codename (Optional. If your character prefers to not have their name said, this is what they go by.)
Gender
Age (Preferred over 17, please.)
Sexuality (In the setting it might be a bit tricky for romance, but hey, I have nothing against it!)
Appearance
Personality
Job (Alright, they're apart of the team, but what do they focus on? Do they repair the drill? Do they focus on killing the Raiders? Do they heal people? If you need clarification, ask me; or if you have an idea for the jobs, but are unsure, then also ask!)
Backstory Optional
Weaponry ((This takes place in the future, so we might have similar weapons. Guns might fire plasma, or perhaps you're more traditional, and prefer bullets.))
Additional Info (Can be anything..family? Home? Could also be left empty.)
People
Keeping track of players in RP. If you say you're gonna join, I'm adding your name here.
