@Kinarymo

Receiving the other's confirmation, the boy too rushed to the other's aid. He carefully observed Kaito's actions, preparing for what might come next

When the man sent the demon flying in his direction, he threw his golden crescent moon into the air, allowing it to return to its full lance form as it fell back towards him.

As the wounded creature was fast approaching him, his lance began moving on its own, spinning around in the air with a high vibrating noise. Just when the flying body was less than a few meters away from him, the spinning weapon dashed in front of him, impaling the demon almost all the way, the spikes on the curved crescent moon shredding the creature's insides as it continued to spin away back towards the judges

@CasiCasino group

The scythe demon was sent upwards again by the spear collision and was met with the sixth and eighth judge, each with their fists clenched and each with burning flames of different hues; the sixth a white flame, and the eighth a purple.
Both of them gave a slightly sadistic grin when they sent the demon down onto the ground. They then gracefully landed like the high tiered men they were.

The demon laid motionless on the ground without any signs of life left inside it.

The judges turned to their respective visitor.

The eighth judge looked down as he approached Ryuusei. Upon looking up, he gave his apprentice a proud grin with a pat to the back.
”You’re a fast learner you know?”

@Kinarymo

Ryuusei was still a little energized from the whole encounter, so when the judge spoke to him, he was momentarily speechless.

"Ah, thank you, my lord." he responded shyly, as the other pat him as a congratulation. He was still not used to beaing treated so, and thus he was still a little unsure of what to do.

The sound of high metallic vibrations soon announced the return of the lance, spinning rapidly in the air towards them. It dashed around them several times in order to reduce its speed, before its spinning slowed down, leaving the weapon floating mid air. Once it completely stopped, the shining magic parts of the lance dissolved from the handle towards the blade, leaving only the gold crescent moon that Ryuusei caught as it fell towards the ground.
"I, um, had a bit of help" he added, gesturing towards the object with a small smile

@CasiCasino group

After a bit of silence, the sixth judge turned back to the eighth judge.
”So… I heard you’ve became a Grand Judge?” the sixth judge asked with both of his hands in his pockets.
”Yeah? Why?” the eighth asked with raised eyebrows.
”Nothing important, congrats I guess” the sixth said before he and the eighth went silent.

They both turned towards the river where the second judge had mentioned child spirits to be near. Both of the judges did not hesitate to run towards the river. Seeing this, Kaito followed them. Perhaps explanation could come later.

@Kinarymo

The boy was still paying attention to his gold crescent moon while the two judges exchanged words. He raised his head once silence settled in, looking at the two, wondering what kind of emotions was the sixth judge experiencing. Was it envy? Awkwardness? Sadness? Or was he genuinely alright with it?

Seeing the others run away towards the shore where the child spirits were located, Ryuusei followed, holding on to his item - if another fight was to break out, it was for the best to have his weapon ready

@CasiCasino group

Arriving at the shore, the sight was… terrifying. Two figures stood in the middle of all the chaos that had happened. The children were laid motionless in the coursing river which had turned crimson due to the blood that went into it. The two figures both had sets of teeth that took up a majority of their face, they did not have noses, eyes, or any other facial features. What they had though, were their ears and their horrifying sets of teeth which were bloodstained.

The sixth judge’s reaction was not much to be talked about as he just clenched his fist and had quite an angry expression… but the eighth’s was very much worth mentioning.

Dushi had smoke coming out of his mouth when he closed it, his eyes had turned bloodshot red with only glimpses of purple remaining which was accompanied by the tears that were flowing down his cheeks, his veins were denser than usual and were shown through his skin.

@Kinarymo

Ryuusei had followed behind the judges, coming to a stop when he saw the others cease their running.
Upon seeing the scene in front of them, he felt a little sick to his stomach - not because of what he was seeing, but because of the realization of the children's fate. He felt bad for them, very bad; not only were they already in a bad situation for having passed at a very early age, but now they'd been mercilessly torn apart by these demons. Despicable.

He turned to look at the judges, seeking any sign or command in their eyes, but was met with Dushi's steaming enraged expression.

@CasiCasino group

The sixth judge turned to the eighth, trying to calm him down silently.

Dushi met his eyes and started to calm down, he couldn’t have emotions block his logical side now could he? Trying to find a way to attack the demons without them knowing, moving silently is possibly the best move.
”We can’t sneak attack them for sure… but it’s best if we could confuse them with a lot of noises” Dushi suggested quietly as he tried to think of a way to create a lot of noises coming from and moving to different places.

”Circling the demons might work…” Diancheng kept his tone low when he stated the following. Dushi seemed to agree.
He turned to Ryuu and Kai to see their response to the ‘plan’.

Kaito almost immediately nodded, this was going to be quite fun for him if he doesn’t get hurt that is.

@Kinarymo

Ryuusei had no plan of his own to suggest, so he nodded alongside Kaito. Surround the demons, got it.

Perhaps his magical flying lance could help a little, though he was still unexperinced with it.
"Are me and Kaito gonna distract them?"

@CasiCasino group

”Exactly… we can do the executing ourselves” the sixth judge stated. With that though, another soft voice came from near them only barely loud enough for the entire group to hear.

It sounded like a person… it was coming from the shore. Looking in that direction, the group would spot a sliced man with everything from his waist down gone. What was left was his bleeding chest line, his nearly gone voice, and the remains of his sanity.

@Kinarymo

The boy initially nodded approvingly, ready to put their plan in action, when he too heard the voice.
"Wh- what is that?" he questioned, distracted from the demons and looking into the direction of the man; he wasn't horrified or disgusted, more like cautious and worried. If this turned out to be another kind of evil spirit, he had a lot on his hands. On the other hand, if that was an injured person, it meant something very sinister had happened that brought him in that awful state

@CasiCasino group

”That’s just a wounded spirit… I guess I can risk it…” the sixth judge stated, summoning his fan and wafting once softly at the man as his body’s bottom half started to regrow. The spirit was then able to stand up. He thanked the judge…

”Thank you my lord!! I don’t how I could ever repay you!!” the figure shouted aloud which of course, distracted the two demonic figures. They started to jump towards the group at quite the speed.

@Kinarymo

Even though he was relieved to know the injured spirit was not malevolent, yet felt chilling spikes in his back when the other began shouting their way. He had all the right to be thankful - the judge had just healed him - yet none of them expected the spirit to expose their group when the monsters were so close nearby.
Dumb move on the spirit's part, but what was done was done, no point thinking about it. Now, they had to find a new plan to fight the demons, without the advantage of a surprise attack.

”Dushi and Diancheng can deal with the demon… though they don’t like to show their ‘real’ powers as… you know, it can be quite destructive if they decided to show it” the seventh judge stated as the plain ice rink started to show forms, creating several ice animals which could move. Cats, dogs, foxes, wolves, hamsters, birds, and so on. They moved around as if they were real animals. The ice was raised to form a crystalline garden with a swing and a bench.
” Please, have a seat” the judge invited as she set herself on the bench.

Koki sat down, reassured at the seventh judge's words. Her gaze moved to the animals, opening in amazement. "Wow! You're doing that? That's so cool ma'am!" Koki was talking with her hands, pointing at the ice animals on the rink.

@CasiCasino group

(I’M. BACKKKKKKKKK)

The eighth judge’s eyes went up in purple flames as a purple and golden armor as he jumped in front of the group, protecting them with a hemisphere with the same hue as his armor.
”Dian!” the eighth judge shouted as the sixth judge jumped up above the figures.

”On it!!” the sixth judge replied as his body was covered with a white smog. The judge came down at the two demonic figures and an explosion occurred, blocking the views of everyone within the hemisphere.

”They are my pets and my officers” the seventh judge stated with a sad grin.
One of the animals, the wolf, paced towards the indoor garden and eyed Koki before sitting in front of her and giving her a small human-like smile.
”He seems to like you”

Deleted user

Koki gave a small laugh, moving to sit on the floor next to the wolf. "Hello." She whispered, holding out her hand for either a shake or a sniff. "We had wolves that looked like you in the forest near my hometown."

@Kinarymo

(wb!!!!)

Ryuusei didn't have much time to react, as the judges had already leapt into action. His first instinct was to look for Kaito, either for a clue of what to do or just see if the other was doing fine.
In the end, he decided upon summoning his lance again and standing close to the eighth judge, in case he needed any help.

@CasiCasino group

The wolf had sniffed Koki’s hand before licking it. The creature eventually got on the bench at laid there. The seventh judge smiled at the interaction a bit before her face had turned serious. She looked in the direction of the door, sensing that something bad had happened to someone she cared for…

When the smoke cleared, there was the sixth judge… but unlike what would be considered ideal, he wasn’t the one who was on the winning side.
”Oi oi… you judges should know where you belong……” one of the demonic figures had hold the sixth judge up by his neck in an attempt to strangle him.
”Dian!” the eighth judge yelled out in shock.

Kaito, who was on his knees and comforting the hurt spirit, was equally as shocked. Gathering his courage, he stood up with his battle axe at hand, trying to attack the demon that was without a job at that moment.

Reaching the figure with his blade, Kaito got confident with his skills… but perhaps that wasn’t the best move.
”Die…” the demonic figure that was not holding the sixth judge murmured as metallic blades extended from its body, trapping, piercing, and stabbing Kaito in many different places.

”Eh…? Dushi… not gonna help your buddies here……?” the first figure asked with a crooked smile as it squeezed the sixth judge’s neck harder.

@Kinarymo

Seeing the sixth judge in trouble, Ryuusei realized they might be in big trouble - if that thing was able to catch him mid attack, then who knows what else they could do.
Kaito's experience proved that getting close to the beasts was a no go. They had to take it out from afar, with less risks than getting close.
Feeling his intentions, his weapon started vibrating, as if ready to do whatever it had to. Could he try taking out or at least distracting the demons with his weapon? Only one way to find out.
He threw the golden crescent moon at the two figures, which immediately began circling them rapidly, bashing at their heads like a boomerang. If the demon tried putting the sixth judge in front of him or tried defending itself, the item would change course and hit somewhere else, though Ryuusei could not tell if the spikes on it did any damage.

It took Koki one look to figure out at least the Judge's mood, so she tried to distract her. "I know this is a bit strange, but could you tell me more about what I am? I've been studying Italian mythology for so long and I just started studying Japanese and Chinese mythology."

@CasiCasino group

The demonic figure which held the sixth judge hostage sent the spear flying away with ease, giving Ryuusei a crazed smile.
”Know your places low lifes!!” the figure said with a laugh before the laugh was cut short; quite literally as well.

A waterfall of blood came pouring down from the creature’s neck as the figure fell on its knees, releasing the sixth judge.
”Who dares—“ the demon looked up to be met with a pair of warm yet deadly eyes before meeting its end with the figure in front of it piercing his large scythe through its skull. The humanoid figure who held the scythe had a black armor on, dressed with a black cape with golden edges and with a face some may recognize.

The other demon who had Kaito hostage was taken down the second the humanoid figure looked towards it.
”Sorry I arrived a little late—“ the figure spoke up, turning towards the group ”—had some documents to clear up” the first judge accepted with a small smile.

@Kinarymo

Seeing his lance flicked away like it was a fly made Ryuusei's stomach sink, cold sweat starting to drip on his back. The magic weapon could return to hit over and over again, but if the monster was going to flick it like this every time, he might as well abandon his plan.

The lance was returning once more to try land a strike, when the monsters began bending down, bleeding heavily. Ryuusei barely managed to redirect the weapon on a different trajectory before it hit the newcomer.
"That was so close" the boy thought to himself as he called back his lance, feeling the cold sweat give him chills. Accidentally hitting a judge with a flying weapon did not sound like something one would want to do.
