Macha inhaled shakily, leaning her head back against the wall of the warehouse, her legs pulled into a lopsided cross-legged position. She tilted her head sideways, watching the final dying rays of the sun stretch put across the horizon, dancing on the window pane, before blinking out of existence. It wouldn’t be long now before people started trickling in.. Exhaling a strained breath, she rubbed at the bags under her eyes, which were red and puffy from crying. Almost time…
Levi approached an intimidating looking warehouse, praying to god that he was in the right place. It had taken him every drop of energy he had to get out of the house without angering his father. If this turned out to be the wrong place he was going to scream. Luckily, there seemed to be a girl inside, eyes red from tears. "Is this… the broken dreams club?"
Macha’s head jerked up, eyes clashing with those of a boy. “Hmm? Yeah. Yeah— uh, welcome, I guess.” She shifted, offering him a smile.
Levi sighed in relief that was quickly replaced by dread. Now that he was here, what did he do? Flora had begged him to go but he didn't really know what was going to happen, he just knew it was a place for kids from broken homes and stuff. "Thanks… I guess." He eased himself into a sitting position a few feet from the girl. "What's this place all about anyways?"
“It’s just… we talk. Get away from our houses.” She shrugged. “Who tipped you off about this place?”
"Sister." That lined up with what little Levi knew. He wondered if he would become a regular, in the coming months. He didn't always have much to say, but this seemed like a good enough place to say it. "You a regular?"
Ashley began to walk towards a warehouse once he stepped out of his friend's old, beat up minivan, tugging his sweater closer to himself in a nervous gesture. The structure seemed a bit intimidating, making him wonder if he was actually in the right place. After a few minutes, he reached the building, poking his head in a bit as he brushed a few wavy strands of dark hair out of his face. Sure enough, two teenagers were already sitting inside.
“Mm.” Macha nodded, swallowing a lump of anxiety. Calm down. Normal people talk to eachother. heading footsteps, she turned her head. Someone new had entered. “Hello?”
"H-Hey," Ashley stammered, rubbing the nape of his neck as he stepped fully into the warehouse. Somehow, just by talking to one person, he was already nervous. "I'm, uh, Ashley. Is this the…the 'broken dreams club?'" He asked, glancing over at the boy who was sitting to his side.
Levi turned and took in the newcomer. Another boy. This one seemed a bit more nervous than the other girl, but that as probably to be expected. This was a place for kids from broken homes. Levi abruptly remembered that he was supposed to acknowledge people and waved quietly.
Macha tried on a smile, though her expression wobbled a bit, betraying her social anxiety. "Hi. Yeah– welcome, I guess." She swallowed. "I'm Macha."
Quick question, can Virgil be the one who helped make this?//
Sure!)
K thanks, my responses will be a bit slow//
Otis peered inside of the old warehouse, relieved (yet also someone scared) to see people."Is-is this the broken dr-dreams club?" he asked, fiddling with his Cubs baseball cap.
Virgil walked into the warehouse from the back door that only he really uses. "I'm here." He says quietly, shutting the door behind him. He startled at all the people, usually, it's just him and Macha.
“Hey, Virgil. And uh, yeah— welcome. Um, hi. I’m Macha.” She shifted over so that Virgil could sit beside her.
