"Hm." Dara looked away again. "I had to outgrow my compassion fairly quickly. It just wasn't conducive."
Zanna spotted a ship on the horizon. She began walking towards the docks, "If your going to become a pirate, you're going to need compassion. They have a ruthless reputation, but it's just you, the crew, and the sea out there."
Luis nodded as he leaned back. He hoped something interesting would happen once they reached Sole. His job on the ship was basically just helping wherever he was needed, and no one really needed help now.
"Where are we going next?" Luis asked no one in particular. He noticed the city nearby, but honestly he had no clue which one it was. He hadn't been to many places before he came on board The Andromeda.
"Sole," Leah answered to the newest crew member, glancing towards him for a few moments before she looked off towards Daso. Hopefully, heading towards his old home wouldn't bother them too much… would it?
Daso noticed Leah's gaze on him but ignored it. He felt bad about avoiding her, but he couldn't help it. Staring out across the skyline, the skyline of Sole, the skyline of his mental and physical prison, he felt conflicted. Would he return home to find nothing had changed? That he was still on the run, that his mother was still alive, that his father was still a priest? Or…not?

"I haven't really thought of it that way," she admitted, smirking wryly as she avoided the subtle question about compassion. "I guess I am becoming a pirate."
"Yep, your a pirate, I'm a pirate," Zanna watched as the waves rippled up against the shoreline. The way the sun reflected off the water, "So you better have someone that has your back."
"What's your name?" Dara asked suddenly. "I'm Dara."
"Zanna," she responded quickly, "Nice to meet you Dara."
"Nice to meet you too," she replied, gazing up at the sky. "If all pirates are like you, things shouldn't be too horrible. Hopefully."
"Where are we going next?" Luis asked no one in particular. He noticed the city nearby, but honestly he had no clue which one it was. He hadn't been to many places before he came on board The Andromeda.

That he was still on the run, that his mother was still alive, that his father was still a priest? Or…not?
Leah frowned faintly, but decided not to bother Daso with questions or a small conversation. The last thing that the other needed was someone talking to him when they were about to go back to their old home. Hadn't she even tried to avoid Trieste all these months as well? She understood what it's like to go back to a place where memories were hard to forget. Pushing the thoughts away, Leah tugged her coat closer to her body as the ship neared the docks, finding the air a bit chilly as she let her ginger hair whip around in the salty wind.
Luis shivered, rubbing his arms to keep himself warm. He hated wearing coats, so his long sleeved shirt would have to do. He had never been to Sole before. After observing the behavior of some of his crew mates, it didn't seem like a walk in the park
Cicada walked up to Luis. She looked over to Sole. It must be hard for Daso to return, this was his home after all. Her brain tried to remember why they came here. She couldn't remember.
Luis nodded to the girl that had walked up to him. It was times like this he wished he knew the names of everyone on this ship. For now, nods would work as a greeting.
Cicada nodded back. She looked back out to the shoreline spotting two figures on the dock. Maybe they were why The Andromeda came to Sole.
Leah stepped a bit closer to her sister, following their gaze as she noticed the same figures standing on the dock as if they were waiting specifically for the ship. After a few moments, she managed to notice that one of them appeared to have a tinted color in her hair and the other had a darker skin tone. At the sight of the second figure, Leah paused, studying her for a few moments in confusion. Where had she seen the same person before?
Cicada squinted at the two figures, she recognized them both. She-what? It can't-but it was. She said to Leah, "Is that Dara on the docks? Daso's sister."
"Dara?" Leah repeated, the name strange on her lips as she studied the figure once again. Daso's sister. "Is she the one…" She trailed off, narrowing her eyes in concern as she leaned back away from the edge of the ship. Was Dara the one that had almost killed Daso?
Cicada nodded as her eyes focused on the other figure. It had to be, it just had to be. And when she found out it was, Zanna was so dead. Apparently for real this time.
Daso joined the sisters by the side of the boat, gazing out onto the deck. "What are we looking at?" he chirped, his hands clenched around the edge of the boat. He almost thought he recognized one of the figures, but no way.
Luis decided to listen in for now and pretend he knew what was going on. Again, he wasn't the best with names, so he wasn't sure who Dara and Daso were.
Cicada pointed out to the figures, "Them. Do you recognize them at all?"
"I mean, it kinda looks like Dara," he laughed, his laughter tinged with anxiety. "But it couldn't be. She doesn't want anything to do with me, and I told her in a letter we'd be here."
"Is that your sister, Daso?" Leah asked, a rare, hesitant tone in her voice as she looked over towards the other next to her. She hoped that he wouldn't react too badly, since the last time Daso had seen Dara was when she had attempted to hang him in Sole's city square.
"You sent her a letter saying we would be here?" Cicada glanced over at Daso and said curiously, "Are you hoping she joins us? Or turns us in?"
"I –I don't know," he admitted. His hands were shaking. He could hardly keep his voice neutral. "I just wanted to ask her something i-important. I didn't think she'd actually want to talk to me."
"It's alright, we'll be right next to you the whole time," Leah answered, her tone a bit softer and gentle around Daso, noticing the way his hands seemed to shake when they mentioned Dara's name. If she had actually decided to listen to the letter…would she turn them in like last time?
