"Black." Kameo grabbed a chair at the far end of the table and laid his head down on the table, stringing his fingers through his hair and mumbling.

Leah sat down next to Kameo, tilting her head to look at him. "What were you doing in your lab?" She asked softly.
Joanna sprinkled them onto his pizza and slipped it into the oven. "It'll take a few minutes, okay Kam?" She said, picking hers up.
"I was drowning myself in alcohol." Kameo admitted, "But Blackwing doesn't get drunk."
"I bet he doesn't. Drinking won't solve your problems. . . you know that, yeah?" Leah answered.
Lucian came back a few minutes later, arms completely full of empty bottles. “I’m concerned he drank most of the ships supply, his liver could be damaged at this point,” he said, setting the bottles down onto the counter with a slight clatter.
"What problems?" he asked, "Why am I drunk anyway? What went wrong, Leah?" he squinted at her.
Leah turned and listened to Lucian, then returned her gaze back to him. "I don't know, Kameo. If you keep drinking like that, you're going to get hurt."
"Oh dear." Joanna murmured. "Is there anything I can cook to help his liver?"
Kameo let out a breath, "I don't mind."
“Um, just don’t let him eat anything too fatty?” Lucian suggested. He never dealer with failed liver, so he was attempting to think back to his studies.
She looked down at him, her green eyes forlorn. "We mind. None of us want you to get hurt, Kameo."
"Does pizza count?" She asked, finishing hers.
"I'm fine, Lucy, just peachy." He spoke up, blowing his sweaty hair away from his face.
She looked down at him, her green eyes forlorn. "We mind. None of us want you to get hurt, Kameo."
Kameo groaned, "Hurt. People get hurt. I didn't get drunk enough." he traced a line down Leah's forearm, "I still remember him dying in my arms, telling me that he didn't want to die."
“It should be fine,” Lucain said to Joanna before turning to Kam. “No, you aren’t. You keep doing that on the regular and things will go straight to hell.”
Joanna took a deep breath. She fingered the Owl charm around her neck, praying. 'Owl of Sorsha, Jordan, if you can hear me, Kameo needs your comfort at this hour."
(Ah, gotta go, remember to give Kam affection)
"I know, but he wants you to live." Leah said gently. "Don't get hurt, please Kameo."
"I can't promise that, Cap." he whispered, "I'm too broken not to be in pain."
"I wish I could fix everything, Kameo." Leah sighed, looking at him. God, it hurt to see him like this.
"Me too." Kame pressed a kiss to Captain's cheek and got up from the table, stumbling to the door until he blacked out.
Cicada walked out the door to check on him, "He passed out!"
Joanna swallowed back tears. Damn, why did she have to be a sympathetic cryer?
Daso hurried over and hoisted him into his arms. "I got him." His voice was muted. "Let's get him to bed."
