Cicada tied the girl up and kicked the other girl in the gut, "Stay. Both of you."
Cicada tied the girl up and kicked the other girl in the gut, "Stay. Both of you."
Duke nodded. "Good job, Cad."
"Just doing my job," Cicada said. She retied up the first girl.
Timothy watched the exchange with interest, occasionally leaning forward, but then leaning back again.
"You got something to say Timmy say it."
"Are we going to hold her for ransom? Or just keep her? You know I don't like prisoners, Duke. It runs the risk of them escaping and then telling others." Timothy sighed, clasping his gloved hands together. "There are two options right now. One, hold her for ransom. Two, kill her and take her money. I'm leaning towards the second option right now."
"Which one? The second could definitely be held for ransom….she's purty rich…"
Cicada nodded, "Or the third unspoken option. If the ransom doesn't work out. And killing them is too troublesome in the future. The rich girl is the mayors daughter. I was shuffling through her belongings and found that out."
“Well killing the other girl isn’t.”
"Oooooooo rich!"
"She already knows about us. I have many ways to painlessly end her life. She'll be a problem to us in the future. But I don't like to argue. So do what you see fit." Timothy drawled, his chin resting on the palm of his gloved hand as he leaned against the table.
"We'll work something out. But for the rich one, killing her wouldn't be smart. The other I think we can do whatever with," Cicada leaned back against the wall, "That's my input."
“I sort of agree. But perhaps for he rich one, we can drain all the money out of her then kill her.”
"We're not killing the other." Duke asserted.
"Why wouldn't it be smart, Cicada? Every villain says that and the hero wins in the end, rescuing their kidnapped friend because the villain decided killing them wouldn't be smart."
"Do you want the entire city breathing down our necks?" Cicada said, "Even more than they already are? If we end up killing her, I'll go along. But that doesn't mean I have to agree."
"Alright calm down!" Duke rubbed his forehead. "We're not killing anyone unless I say so."
Timothy shook his head. "I have dirt on the entire city."
“So, can you stop discussing my death as though I am not here?” Victoria asked, already having gotten one arm untied.
"Sure. Do you want to die or would you prefer not that?"
“Preferably not,” Victoria said cheerfully. “But, you know, my fate is ‘out of my hands’ or whatever.”
//THIS IS SO WIERD I HAVE NEVER HAD 0 NOTIFICATIONS BEFORE
(LOL WEIRD)
"True. I mean if you pay us we could spare you for a bit…"
“I have no money,” Victoria shrugged, now standing amidst a pile of rope. “So that wouldn’t work.”
Cicada looked at her, "So your fate is really in our hands. And what if we offered you a spot in our little gang?"
