Emil casually followed behind the group of thugs, his eyes wandering lazily. "What a pain," he muttered under his breath. He was used to tailing around these types of people, on the government's order, of course. He would never actually go out his way to follow around people like this. But this group was different than usual. There was a neatly dressed male in the middle, very out of place but somehow he fitted in fit.
Calico lands, his eyes watching with curiosity and caution. He glares at the figures, the cars, the noise from the others.
(Welcome @TreeQueen! What would you like us to call you when reffering outside of RP?)
Lights glowed from the upper stories; the lower ones dark. As Emil drew closer, he began to hear quiet heavy metal flowing from the lit windows. The door creaked shut behind the last thug; he turned back warily one last time, looking for any unwanted guests.
Xena slips through the shadows, a machine gun strapped to her back. This was a small job, more of someone's personal vendetta then anything. The thug she was hunting was not really anyone in particular. Just an idiot who pissed off the wrong person. Slipping forward, Xena leaned over the edge of the roof, looking at hte group below. A pang of nervousness ran through her as she picked out the mob boss, not her target, and two other men who stood out. One on the roof across from her with, wings? And another, a government official, blending in with the crowd below. She pushed down her fear and readied her gun, taking special care that the winged man didn't see her.
(Is this ok?)
(That's fine! :D I had planned for the boss to be inside the house, so maybe it could be a second in command that she's aiming at? >w<)
(Tbh, I'm having her aim at one of the lowlife minion guys if that's ok, just enough to get attention. Or i could do the secondin command, which ever would work better for you.)
(Okay! Sounds fair :) You could do either, but maybe a low-life might be better? Again, up to you)
By now the group was almost all the way inside, just two left; standing guard perhaps. The door creaked closed. One of the guards lit a cigarette, and they started talking quietly.
Emil let a sigh pass through the gap between his lips. There were two guards there, blocking the entrance to the building. He was not one for physical confrontation, but it would appear as that was probably the only way to slip into the building and continue his mission currently. That, or just wait it out. Emil leaned back against a nearby lamp post nonchalantly. "I guess I'll just wait," he murmured softly, his eyes still on the guarded door.
Calico was silent, his wings flaring slightly, catching the wind. He soars up a little before flying silently to the building, landing on the roof quietly, grabbing the gun at his side.
Xena let out a silent chuckle. Really, it was too easy. Taking careful aim, she pulled the trigger. The guard fell with a quiet thud.
(K I g2g for a while, but keep going with out me, no worries, I'll probably be on sometime tonight.)
(Kay, see ya later Mae! :)
The other guard shouted out in panic, calling for backup. He dove behind a dumpster as shouted responses rose from the building. Men began pouring out, armed with semi-automatics. Upstairs, a curtain was quietly drawn over one of the windows.
What happened? That's when he saw the other. His eyes narrow before he swoops into the building, perching unseen on a ledge as the chaos breaks around him. He smirks a little. This should be interesting.
Emil stared at the scene with a blank stare. This was a pain. The building alert now, and that meant that Emil would have a hell of a time trying to complete his mission. Chaos ensued as the armed men rushed out into the streets. Not wanting to be a part of this, Emil slunked into the shadows, observing the pandemonium play out.
(Someone might want to go and try and spy on the upper stories? I can't really do much at this point otherwise xD)
Fanning out, the thugs began a systematic search for whoever had fired, keeping a line of men positioned at the end of the ally, guns poised, covering the searchers.
(@TreeQueen we're going to assume that your chara retreated to somewhere safe for now >w< Just so you know when you get back)
Don't engage… yet… Calico thinks silently. His wings wrapped around him, making him harder to see as he watches from his perch. He was silent, staring at the people. He wasn't going to engage yet. He was quiet, his eyes narrowed.
Emil brushed some stray strands of hair away from his face, another sigh leaving his lips. It would probably be best to disengage from the situation and pretend to be a passing scientist or something like that. He buried his handgun deeper into the folds of his clothes and began departing from the scene when the curtains on the upper floor window caught his attention. Not that he would be able to see what was behind the curtains, but he could sense that the fabric was concealing more than just an empty room.
As he looked closer, Emil began to make out two silhouettes standing in the room. The were close, as if in deep conversation. Neither flinched as a man from the street gave a yell, and a panicky gun shot was let off.
Calico was silent, his hand resting slightly on his holster. He smirks a little bit. So he hadn't been seen. Good. Very good. He watches from above, hidden in the dark.
By now, the men searching the ally had converged back at the door, all muttering and casting glances around. One was talking into a radio in rapid Hindi, probably the chosen code language of the gang. Others were tying their flashlights to their guns, shining them around at the darkest corners. No one moved from their position guarding the door.
(hey I'm back… though there's not really much for me to do… wait! I've got an idea!)
Xena pulled up her holloscreen, her next target was… in the building she just left. Seriously? She muttered a curse word before turning and heading back the way she came. Hopefully the chaos would give her the proper smokescreen to take out the next target.
(Welcome back! :3 A little note, do you guys all want your charas to meet? If so, feel free anytime)
She remained unspotted, eventually finding herself on the balcony outside a barred window. All was quiet and still inside. (I'm imagining that your like, 3 windows away from Emil at this point)
