In a dream, memories came together. Young Florence was sitting under a tree, she was about twelve. She was reading a book, Frankenstein, by Mary Shelly. "Ha ha, look at this, it's the loser. Tell me, Florence, why your dad killed your mom? Was it because you drove him mad?" another girl said, stepping in now. Florence replied, cooly, "Well, no. I want you to leave, Sharon. Please." Sharon said, "Oh look, it's your biography, Monster." and tore the book in half. "Please, stop it, that's a library book!" "Why should I? Wuss." Sharon kicked Florence, and called over her friends. They beat her up, and left her there, unable to move. Another scene, her dad beating her, her mother trying to pull her drunk husband away. Florence woke, and was tied to the chair. Crap.
Alright. Either you stop cussing, or I kick you. YOur choice.
(Sorry, I will try to make it happen less, and censor it, apologies.)
I shrug with a laugh. "Go ahead. Don't mind me, I'll just be eating all of this garlic bread and picking the procciuto off this pizza so that I can hog it! Also, if you're going out, would you mind grabbing some gelatos?"
(Florence is gagged btw)
(Yeah, obviously, I suppose. Thx!)
"Yeah, sure. I'll be out for a while, I have to get clothes for the next couple of days too. And hey!" I laugh. "Don't touch my pizza." I steal a slice and give her a meaningful look before I walk out the door. "Do what you want with the Montague and the Florence girl. Get information, kill them, I don't really care." I glance at the girl in red. "Just don't leave a mess."
I hum, cutting myself a slice of the delicious pizza and taking a bite.
"What the bleeding h*ll?" Florence said, muffled.
"LET ME OUT!!!" she yelled, dislodging the gag.
I sigh, walking over and shoving a muteness pill in her mouth, covering her nose and mouth with my hand until he swallows. Good. She'll be silent for the next hour.
I walked down the cobblestone street and find a little clothing boutique, walking in and collecting enough clothing for the week. It was definitely night now, and the shopkeeper kept glancing at me like she wanted me to hurry so she could close up. I paid and then left, taking the long way back over bridges and across parks to kill time while Adelaide was with the prisoners, and thought about my family back home. The goal here was to bring down Verona's organized crime. I was here with Adelaide to find something my father took, and Justin was a start. As soon as that something was found, she was going to take my seat at the Montague dinner table so to speak, and then kill my father. And I was going to be free.
Florence realized that someone else was tied to her, back to back.
Florence pretended to swallow, but when nobody was looking, she spit out the pill.
I give the Montague man a pill as well, shutting them both up. Yawning, I take a bite of the garlic bread.
How do I escape? she wondered.
Florence pretended to swallow, but when nobody was looking, she spit out the pill.
could you please play along plez?
"Listen, I have no idea who you are, but all I am is a scientist, ok? Why do you need me?" She asked.
Florence pretended to swallow, but when nobody was looking, she spit out the pill.
could you please play along plez?
(She's gonna need to talk for this, m'kay?)
"Listen, I'm getting married soon, so please, just let me go." she said, truthfully.
I sigh, seeing the pill on the ground, taking out my gun and leaning close so I can whisper in her ear. "If you don't whisper, I will shoot. I am the daughter of a Mafia boss, I've killed more times than I can count. And, you know why you're here, so stop faking."
"Well, I really don't know why the f*** I'm here."
"Wait, Mafia? I thought this was just some prank, I'm really not sure why I'm here, 'Kay? Got that, miss?"
I breath out slowly. "The man behind you? You're an ally of his, meaning that you're my– our enemy."
