@Natasha
(Thx!)
(Thx!)
(So when are we gonna start?)
(I'll post a starter. Sorry, I sorta scraped my knees up pretty badly, so I had to deal with them and it took, like, two hours.)
(Ow! Are you ok?)
(Yeah… It sucks trying to get gauze off of them, though.)
Skye lay on her back underneath the night sky, just watching the stars sparkling. Ironically, the sky was her favorite part of nature. Stars, especially.
The other campers were somewhere. Honestly, she didn't really care where, as long as she was able to watch the sky.
(Yeah, I hope you get better soon! :D)
(:P Thanks! I've gtg for today – still have to finish with my knees – but I'll try to be on by Monday at the latest, hopefully sooner.)
(Ok! Make sure to take care of yourself!)
Shonna was inside the main building with the announcements going on but it wasn’t like she could understand anything they were saying cuz they were moving to much so she couldn’t read their lips very well so she just sat there pretending she was paying attention
Reece listened as the camp directors gave their usual, “Don’t wander into the woods,” and, “Stay safe,” talk. Reece listened to them, “Don't be stupid,” being the only thing he got out of the talk.
Shonna saw a boy sitting next to her that looked bored and nudged him signing ,”Do you know ASL?”
Reece looked at the girl. Surprised, he signed, “Yeah.”
“Cool!” She signed, “I’m kinda bored cuz I can’t really understand the speaker very well but I get the idea. So do you come to this camp often?”
“It’s my second year.” Reece replied, “How about you?”
“Umm I think it’s my fifth time.” She answered
Cece took a deep breath as she climbed through the trees with a squirrel perched on her shoulder. It was so peaceful out at night. She noticed a girl laying on the grass staring u at the stars, but she decided not to interrupt her peaceful state and left her in her content little bubble. She'd come back and say hi later.
“And that don’t have a translator for the hearing impaired? That seems sketchy.” Reece thought for a bit, “Unless you don’t register as deaf on the camp registration form.”
“Yes, I am deaf but I can read lips,” she explained, ”but the announcer is talking fast and moving a bunch so it’s hard to understand but like I said earlier I get the just of it.”
(Wow, you guys did a lot in the 12 hours since I've been on.)
Skye sighed. She'd have to go meet the other campers eventually. Later would be preferred to sooner, but sooner would probably be better.
Finally, she stood up and made her way to the main building, hoping that there would at least be food.
(Hey! Hows your leg?)
(Eh. My knees still hurt a ton.)
Kattie ran around the yard not really paying attention to the world around her. She smiled at everyone she passed.
(Aw! I hope you get better soon!)
“Still, they should at least have a translator.” Reece replied.
“Nah it’s ok,” She told him, “I like it when I can just sit here and not pay attention. No one will know anyway.”
(When ever she ‘says’ something she’s signing. And get better)
