"Which way are we going? There aren't exactly any roads here," Asura pointed out.
Floyd walked out of the bedroom, peering out a window. “Well, maybe north? Or the opposite direction of the sea,” he suggested. He was really regretting turning down Boy Scouts when he was thirteen.
Asura looked out the window. "The opposite direction of the sea would have to be up, considering it looks like we're surrounded on all sides."
“Maybe if we get to a higher point on the rocks, we could see something,” Floyd said, eyes flicking around.
He shrugged. "I guess we could try it."
Floyd nodded, then turned back to face Asura. “Do you have some of the things packed that we needed for this?”
Sam scowled. "I believe my suit has enough 'pizzaz' to blind, thank you. Especially now that I look like a broken carnival game."
Cal sighed. He could already tell that the two could end up arguing for ages, not unlike an old married couple. Actually, they might be a decent fit for one another if Samandriel would calm himself, and if Matthias tried to get on the other's nerves less. Then again, he could see why it would be fun for Matt to tease Sam, seeing as Orion did something similar with him, just with less… inappropriate hintings.
"You do almost look like a carnival game now," Cal added with a chuckle.
'Yeah, it hurts, but you wear head guards and all when you're sparring,' he said.
"Yeah," he said.
“Alright! Let’s head out then,” Floyd said, grabbing the pack of things and slinging it over his shoulder. He flicked the lights off, taking one last look around the cabin before walking outside.
'Yeah, it hurts, but you wear head guards and all when you're sparring,' he said.
“But wouldn’t that still hurt…”
'Yeah, it does hurt. Usually when I'm sparring me and whoever I'm sparring with don't use our full power. I only go full power on the punching bags.'
