(lol. Also, time skip to when they wake up?)
(Yeah, that sounds good)
Floyd had woken up a few minutes early, his arms wrapped around Asura. He had shifted carefully out of his grip, hopping up to go find something to make for breakfast.
Asura blinked, yawning and stretching. He ran his hands through his messy hair, getting up out of bed and walking to the kitchen. "What time is it?" He asked Floyd, yawning again.
Floyd looked over at the sound of Asura’s voice and he looked at a clock that was hanging on a wall across the room. “About 10:30,” he responded, continuing fixing the only thing he could really find that was breakfast food related- pancakes.
"Oh god, how long did I sleep?"
“Slept through the whole night. You must have been very tired,” Floyd said, flipping one of the pancakes over.
He rubbed his eyes and blinked. "Yeah, I must've been. I don't usually sleep through the whole night," he admitted. The smell of pancakes filled the air and he leaned back against the wall. His stomach growled.
“Why’s that?” Floyd questioned, seeming genuinely curious as he continued to make the food.
He shrugged. "I dunno. It's been happening since my late teens."
“Huh, pretty weird. At least you got a full nights sleep,” Floyd said, dropping two of the pancakes onto a plate. “There’s syrup in the cupboards if you want that.”
His mouth watered at the sight of pancakes, and he turned to grab syrup. "Thanks for making food. I know I wouldn't have been able to do it, last time I tried, I set my pasta on fire."
Floyd laughed at that, putting one on a plate for himself. “Well, you’re just in luck. I like to think that I’m an excellent cook.”
Asura smiled a bit, opening the fridge to look for butter. "Where did you learn to cook?" He asked curiously.
“My mom taught me, and I had to take a cooking class for a semester in high school,” Floyd said, pouring a bit of syrup onto the pancakes on his plate.
(fun fact: I once actually set my noodles on fire)
He took a bite of his pancakes and made a small noise of surprise. It tasted a lot better than he imagined it would. "Your high school offered a cooking class?"
(That’s not good lmao)
Floyd chuckled and nodded, leaning up against a counter as he took a bite of one of his. “Yeah, it was a required thing when we were seniors to help us learn basic skills for college,” he explained once he had swallowed his bite.
Asura frowned. He had never gone to college. "That's nice," he said in response to Floyd.
Floyd noticed the frown and arched a brow in question. “What?” He asked, watching Asura skeptically.
He looked down at his pancakes, shrugging a bit. "Nothing, don't worry about it dude."
“You sure?” Floyd asked, taking another bite of his food and swallowing it quickly.
He thought for a moment, taking his last bite of pancake. "I just… never went to college. That's all."
“No? If it’s not too personal, could I ask why?” Floyd said, tapping his fingers on the edge of the fork before taking another bite.
He put his plate in the sink, sighing. "No money."
“Oh, damn, I’m sorry about that. If it makes you feel better, I dropped out after my second year,” Floyd said, finishing his food and pushing the plate aside, making a mental reminder to wash the dishes at some point.
