(Pretty much XD)
Payte existed~
"Hello?"
(umm i guess that worked?)
Saffi sighed and looked down. "Hello," she muttered, still struggling to pull her arm away.
"What is this place?" Patagonia pressed, fiddling anxiously with his bracelet. "I was taking my daughter to daycare literally 5 minutes ago. Did I… Die?"
"No you did not die, I don't think. We all woke up in a weird room, met a creepy doctor, and refused," she says, glaring at Walter, "to let me help. But whatever,"
Patagonia blinked in confusion, wary of the girl's obvious rage against this Walter dude. "Oh, ahm… Okay, so we just sit here? I'm Patagonia, by the way. You can call me Payte."
"I'm Saffi, honestly I don't know what we do now," she said, sighing dramatically.
"Is there an exit? I'm sure there has to be…" He stood shakily and paced the room, beginning to hyperventilate. "There has to be. I swear to God, there has to be."
"If there was don't you think we would've left already. Huh? We're terrified, absolutely terrified," she said, shaking her head. She finally pulled her arm away from Walter and glared at him for a moment. She walked over to Payte and sighed. "I'm sorry…" she whispered.
"Oh my God, I should've called a sitter… Iris is gonna wanna take her- We can't get out! We can't- No! This isn't your fault…" Payte couldn't sort out his emotions. He was scared for his daughter, where she'd end up without him; he was worried about the ongoing legal battle between him and his ex-girlfriend for their child; he was absolutely terrified about how and why they were here, and more than ever he just wanted to go home. The tears sprung up before he could stop them, and he suddenly felt like a 5-year-old again, huddled in Saffi's arms.
(Should I make a character?)
"We'll find a way out, I'll make sure of it. I promise," she stated, although she sounded more confident than she felt. She sighed and shook her head. "We just need to work together," she said, smiling encouragingly.

"Yeah, I guess." Patagonia turned away for a brief second to compose himself, and when he turned back to her, his face was expressionless and he scratched absently at his stubbled beard. "So, who was that doctor you were talking about?"
"We don't know exactly. I've seen him in…oh this is going to sound fake…visions," she whispered.
"That's not fake," Patagonia scoffed. "Visions tell you all sorts of shit. The stars and zodiacs, Mother Nature, Buddha… Gods, I sound crazy, don't I?" He sighed softly and shook his head, beginning to fidget with his necklace again. "Visions always make sense when you've given up hope of figuring them out."
"I didn't start getting them till we were in that room…it's helped us get out. I was kinda hoping I was wrong about the doctor…that means some of my other visions may come true…and I'm not looking forward to that," she shook her head and frowned. "I'm sorry…that's not what you needed to hear right now," she muttered.
"Not looking forward to- Never mind, it's alright. I asked. What kind of visions are you having?" Maybe it's just some kind of neurological disorder?…
"Well…there was the doctor, as you know, the most recent one was us escaping from here, we were running…I tripped..and well, I was left behind," she mumbled, not looking up. "Something grabbed me, then it stopped."
The ground swayed underneath Payte's feet and he shot his arm out to catch himself on the wall. Whatever these visions meant, if they were even real visions, he wasn't going to stand by and watch it happen. Too many people had walked all over him all of his life, and for once this lady was showing him some kindness. "That's not gonna happen," He found himself mutter-growling.
"Every single other one has happened, there's nothing saying this one won't. And besides, I wouldn't want people to be slowed down from escaping because of me anyway," she said, looking up at him slightly.
"Will I have to pick you up and carry you?" Payte replied, smirking playfully at her. Inside he was shaking with anxiety, but somehow he felt calm, and he felt like he needed to get others to feel the same.
