“That’s nice of you,” she continued poking around. “Wait, what time is it?”
“That’s nice of you,” she continued poking around. “Wait, what time is it?”
“Not sure, I don’t think any of the clocks in here are set right,” Orion explained. He didn’t understand clocks much, anyways. He was an old soul, literally, because of the Wendigo spirit, so he used the positioning of the sun in the sky to tell the time of day.
“Parents are probably expecting me back soon… parents and their hundreds of cats. What’s this?” She asked, holding a whirring machine.
Orion looked at the machine, his brow furrowed. The noise sounded strange in his ears. “No clue.”
“Then why is it in your house?” She sounded confused.
“I only frequent in the north wing area, this is the east wing of the complex,” Orion explained, wishing the buzzing would stop.
(May I join or…..?)
“Oh cool, so you don’t really hang out over here either.”
“No, not in this area,” Orion responded levely.
(@TheMage I'm waiting patiently.)
“Hmm. Welllll, I should be off now. Bye!” She said, jumping out a window.
The quiet wind blew through her hair. She breathed it in. Something was on the wind. She could smell it. Juli was quite in tune with nature. Not as much as some animals but more than your average human. She tried to identify it. Of course! The girl. The flying girl.
Major cursed as she dropped a few feet. She hated the head injury and the boy who caused it.
Orion went back to the north wing, shaking his head. He finished cleaning up in the bathroom, making sure that the stench of blood was off his breath.
Jessica sat on the tree, thinking. Suddenly, she heard something. She pricked one ear, and then decided it was nothing.
Juli was feeling energized and stepped out from the shadows. This time approaching the girl.
Orion slipped into the woods from a back door, jogging at a decent pace down a gravel path that eventually faded into a rocky, dirt one. The constant hunger clawed at his chest as he searched for anything that he could possibly eat.
Jessica morphed back into a human and dropped lightly onto the ground. She looked around, making sure no one was around, then held her hand out in front of her and concentrated. A small black flame came to life on her palm.
This power was new. She had discovered it only days before, and was still trying to find out what it was.
Juli gasped and the plants shriveled away as the girl made a black flame twirl on her palm. She backed up at first then came to get a closer look.
A twig cracked behind her, making Jessica jump. She closed her hand into a fist and turned around. No one was there, but a tree near her was covered in vines, which was unusual. She went over for a closer look.
Juli held her breath as she came nearer. Finally, she couldn't handle it anymore. She allowed the plants to shrivel away and let out the breath she had been holding.
Jessica watched the plants shrivel up and die. Was that her… or someone else?
Juli stepped out. And just slightly above a whisper said, "hi."
A girl who looked ten or eleven stepped out. "Hi." The girl said in a whisper. "Hey. I'm Jessica. Were you spying on me?" Jessica asked.
