Callisto examined the spoon. "If you say so….." He smirked. "Just know I could take you and that rusty pan down any day!"
Callisto examined the spoon. "If you say so….." He smirked. "Just know I could take you and that rusty pan down any day!"
"Oh sure." Joanna chuckled, rolling the dough out into a circle.
"I can deal with pizza." his stomach groaned.
I don't like pizza!
Shut up and take it.
I want a cheeseburger!
Just why am I having a silent conversation with my stomach in my head?
You're the crazy one, not me.
Callisto leaned out the window. "Hey! I'm making cookies for afterwards if you want any!"
"Great." Joanna said. "Just so we're planning ahead, what do we want to do for supper?"
"Oh sure." Joanna chuckled, rolling the dough out into a circle.
"Trust me, the first time I met Joanna, she almost knocked me out with that frying pan." Quinn laughed, walking towards Joanna and nudging her playfully. "Too bad that I was faster."
"How about cheeseburgers." He said, glancing at Ace.
"Yes!" finally, his stomach was appeased. "You sir, are a wonderful man." Ace pointed his finger at Callisto, "And a great Cap'n too."
Joanna nudged her back, smiling.
Callisto bowed. "Thank you! You're the best first mate I've ever had!"
"No, not the flattery!" Ace cried out in mock-agony.
Quinn laughed as she leaned back against one of the tables, pulling her curly brown hair into a loose bun.
"Yes the flattery!" He pointed the cookie dough laden spoon at him. "Take it otherwise no cookies for you!"
Joanna went over to the icebox and rummaged through it. "I think I have enough Metsolian beef for cheeseburgers." She said, pulling out the red sauce.
"Aw man, okay. Cheeseburgers are boss anyway." Ace's stomach grumbled in agreement. "They're my religion, basically. My spirit animal!"
"My spoon getting shoved down your throat is mine." Callisto muttered.
"And mine too." Quinn laughed, agreeing with Callisto.
He rolled the dough into balls and put them on a baking sheet. "Anyone wanna help me with this?"
"Do we want to do mini pizzas, or can we all get along with one pizza?" Joanna said, chuckling at her friends' antics
"Wow, sounds fun. But um, let's not do that." Ace's excitement was almost like a disease, incredibly contagious.
Callisto glanced at Joanna. "That'd probably be best…"
"M'kay." Joanna balled up the dough and rerolled it out and separated it into individual globs. "K. You guys come do yours."
Callisto looked at his cookie dough hands, then back at Janna. "Uh….do you mind doing mine for me?"
Joanna sighed dramatically. "Fine! Just this once." She said, grinning as she rolled theirs into circles.
Callisto grinned at her. "Thanks!" he turned to the others. "And thank you all for the help with these cookies! I appreciate your effort!" He rolled his eyes as he slid the sheet into the oven.
