Peyton thought wistfully. What emotion did she want? Oh there were too many to list, but one kept popping up in her mind, "Peace. I want to feel at peace."

@WriteOutofTime

Dara sighed, leaning away from her research. She had a major headache from working, but she hadn't made any headway. It was so frustrating! She headed out onto the deck for a change of pace, her bare feet patting against the cool floor as she made her way to the main area.

(Hm, I'm going to change my character's name actually.)

(Sorry for vanishing, I was really busy)

“Peace, I should have something for that. Have you considered trying meditation?” Lucy asked, a brow raised. She stepped into her room, shutting the door behind them. She stepped over to the chest and coprouched out, searching through it before taking out a light green colored crystal.

Peyton nodded, “Yeah. Never seemed to work though. I was always too pent up. Figured peace just was never gonna happen.”

@Desvelarse pets

“Well, this should help,” Lucy hummed, moving a soft, foamy mat onto the floor. “Go on ahead and sit,” she continued, and she crouched down once Peyton was sat.

“Just make yourself comfortable. This is an adventuring crystal. They are known for enchancing meditation and helping to find inner peace, so I feel like this would be a good fit for your situation.”

Cal sighed and rubbed his tired eyes, pushing himself up from the old table as he headed towards the staircase. It was odd that they still had a rickety, scratched table next to all the metal components of the ship, though it just felt right to keep it there. He stepped up the staircase, using the railing for a few moments since he was a bit tipsy. Only a few people were on the deck, mostly riggers and navigators, so Cal guessed that everyone else was in their cabins or with the others.

Lucy gave the small crystal to Peyton and shifted so she was sitting back against her heels now instead. “You can do this with your eyes opened or closed, but I recommend shutting your eyes. Concentrate on clearing your mind. Don’t think about any of the starwork or stress, just concentrate on the feeling of the floor underneath you and the weight of the crystal in your palm,” she said, her usually higher pitched and happy sounding voice going a bit quieter and almost relaxing.

@ShadeStar

Peyton shut her eyes. The crystal was light in her hand, the mat was soft. Shockingly. She took a deep breath in and out. Lucy's voice definitely helped her get relaxed. The starcharts were no where near her mind.

@Desvelarse pets

Lucy’s lips tilted upwards into a warm smile. “Very good… Think about the calm, peaceful state you want to achieve. Think of the crystal. The crystal holds those emotions you want to feel, and it’s right in your grasp. The emotions are right there for you,” she hummed softly.

@ShadeStar

Peyton gave a slight nod. She focused on the peace she could never grasp. The well that was always dry. She felt the crystal on her hand and thought of peace. It felt like that well of peace was filling up again.

@Desvelarse pets

Lucy stayed silent for a few minutes, allowing Peyton to concentrate on her own. After around 5 minutes, she spoke up again. “How do you feel now, Peyton? Any different?”

@ShadeStar

Peyton opened her eyes and looked up to Lucy. The peace she had felt replaced by excitement, "Yeah! It worked. It really worked."

@Desvelarse pets

Lucy laughed softly at Peyton’s excitement and nodded slowly. “Yes, crystal therapy can work wonders for the mind,” she said, her voice going back to its normal tone. She gently took the aventurine crystal from Peyton, standing up to walk back over to the box. “My door is always unlocked, feel free to come in whenever and borrow a crystal to use when needed. I have a book right over there-“ she started, nodding over to a small leather bound notebook, “-that has the names of the crystals I have and their healing properties. Just make sure to return it once you’re done, some of these are surprisingly expensive,” she finished with a soft laugh.

@ShadeStar

Peyton nodded and stood up. She looked over to the leather bound book then back to Lucy. She smiled, "Of course. Thank you for doing this."

@Desvelarse pets

“Of course, anytime. I’m happy to help a friend,” Lucy said with a slow nod of her head as she shut the chest and turned to face Peyton. “I’m very greatful that you tried my methods, and even more so that it seemed to help you.”

@ShadeStar

Peyton nodded her head quickly. Nope to fast her brain hurt now, "I'm happy it helped too. Maybe I can try to convince the others to try. If you want me to of course."

@Desvelarse pets

“Oh, really? You would do that? Oh gosh, that would be amazing,” Lucy said with an excited smile. Some of the others have come to talk to her, but never really tried the crystal healing methods.

@ShadeStar

Peyton smile as she nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah! I know I'm not the only one with problems. I swear half of this crew is falling apart from them."

Cal looked around the deck, leaning against the railing of the ship from the faint dizzy feeling growing in his head. He didn't need the crew thinking that he had drunk any alcohol again. Rolling the old piece of parchment up and tucking it into his coat, Cal began to make his way over to the curly, dark-haired girl on deck. If anyone could help him out with the map, it would be Dara.

@WriteOutofTime

Dara glanced up as Calixto approached. She smiled a thin lipped smile. "Hi, Captain. Not to be blunt, but I hope you're not drunk. I've got enough of a headache." She cracked up. "I'm joking. What do you need?"

Deleted user

Cal cracked a small smile at that as he brushed a few strands of ginger hair out of his face. "Maps. It's always maps," He answered, releasing a faint sigh as he unrolled the piece of crumpled parchment and handed it to Dara. It was quite detailed, with the names of the sectors and ports all labeled with a steady hand, only the ink on the corners of the paper smudged. The crew had been after it for a while ever since there was a large bounty for a machine that promised a "loot of a thousand worlds."

@WriteOutofTime

Dara took the parchment in her hands and held it up, squinting at it. "Hm…" she perused it, pursing her lips. The ports were labelled fairly well, and it wasn't a hard map to read. "Well, it's kind of a small map, but we're close to…" she trailed off, pointing at the corner of the map. "And the loot is probably around…" she circled a point with her index finger. "The scaling isn't the best, but it's readable."

Cal watched Dara as she circled the different areas, nodding as he made a mental note to write it down when he made it towards one of the navigation cabins. He read over her shoulder, deciding that he would need to talk to Peyton about stopping in a few ports and sectors for supplies. "That should help us for now. Thank you, Dara." Cal answered as he glanced down at her, his gaze studying her for a few moments. "Have you been working on anything new lately?"
