I'M BACK! So here's the synopsis I came up with for this idea I had:
Clears throat
The night of your 18th birthday. The end of the day you finally become an adult. But in an alternate reality, it's also the moment you begin your journey to find your soulmate. The moment you have The Dream. The Dream is a confusing scene in which you will see your soulmate. Your job is to figure out which one is them and how to find them. After the initial dream that everyone has, The Dreams become more random, unpredictable and even more specific. Just a couple questions, who is your soulmate? Where are they? How will you find them? All of the answers must be deciphered from within The Dreams. A catch. You must find them before the sunset on your 19th birthday when The Dreams will cease to come. Every 18 year old must focus hard, in hopes that they'll find their soulmate… dramatic pause

Thanks! I had it last night when I was trying to fall asleep so that's why I started this. It'll be mostly adventure and alternating sides of following dreams towards each other. Eventually, the dreams will lead them both to some meeting place if followed correctly. Once they find each other it'll just be romance. Any questions?

Personality: she is a fun, bubbly person when you get to know her, kind and loyal to those she loves and cares about, comes off as a shy, anxious and reserved person because of her family life but her real personality is completely different.
Strengths: drawing, writing and cartography
Weaknesses: she has trust issues and also doesn't like being touched much. Once she warms up to a person it's different but generally it takes a while, violence and sharp objects trigger her.
Other: she has to wear glass for close up activities like reading and writing. she has an abusive family but more about that later.

Yeah here's the starter:

Isaac had spent his 18th birthday celebrating. With friends, with family, he did it all in one day. As he rested his eyes and lay in bed he knew what was coming. The Dream. Being the hopeless romantic that he was, he couldn't have been more excited. Suddenly an image flashed before him. It had begun. 4 girls stood together in a room, chit-chatting away. One girl caught his eye though. She had flaming red hair and a special sparkle to her eyes. "That's her," he thought just before it faded away.

Kaitlin could never spend her birthday happy anymore, not after her brother had died. But today something was different. Her 18th. A sense of relief washed over her as she lay in bed, waiting for a few moments before The Dream came. The image, some guys walking along a bustling street. A guy with darker skin and an incredibly bright smile drew her attention most. She knew it was him, and found herself smiling before it disappeared.
