(I'm passive-aggressively online but I should be able to be online long enough to continue)
(aright sounds good)
(I'm not gonna start though lmao I have no idea where we left off and I'm terrible at starting)
(let's see…. I believe we were trying to get to dry land, at last check)
Mike ducked underwater briefly to make sure there were no aquatic predators sneaking up on them. "I hope we don't run into anything hostile while we're here. This is hard enough as it is."
"Surprisingly, the demons here seem pretty tame, so I don't think we have to worry about that," Yvette said. "But we should try not to provoke them."
"All right. Now what exactly are we headed for here? What's our destination?"
"I'm not sure exactly where Lucifer is," Yvette admitted. "But based on previous experiences, every universe has a population of intelligent and complex creatures. So if we find a demon that's intelligent and sophisticated enough to communicate with us, it might be able to point us in the right direction."
"Got it. Sounds like a plan. And let's be careful not to get separated."
(I gotta go now sadly, see you guys tomorrow! ^^)
"Are you sure swimming up is a good idea, though?" Yvette asked, gazing up at the water. It seemed to stretch on forever. "We don't know how physics work here. We could get trapped."
(see ya!)
"We don't have a lot of options. I guess we could jump back to the platform that's now above us, but it's not connected to any paths that I can see. There are trees on this side somewhere, and that could mean dry land. We just have to find it. Unless you see anything else we could head for? I'm open to suggestions."
Cas shrugged. "I vote we just swim until we see something. Maybe if we're lucky physics will be so broken that crossing this giant lake…thing will only take us five or so minutes," he suggested
"Might as well try it." Mike chose a direction and started steadily swimming forward.
Yvette sighed. She wasn't a very good swimmer, but it's not like she had any other options. Hesitantly, she followed the others.
"If anyone gets tired, we can stop and rest," Mike called. "Drowning at this stage is not an option."
Cas rolled his empty eyes, smiling smugly as he swam laps around them. "You poor mortals, what ever would you do without machines, or gods," he chuckled
"Shut your face," Yvette said.
(how the fuck are they talking underwater btw)
(we already broke physics but Cas is a water creature so he can get away with all kinds of stuff underwater)
(I was under the impression we were just swimming on the surface lol)
"We're doing pretty good right now by ourselves, Cas," Mike retorted. "But if you'd like to help, feel free to make yourself useful."
Cas smiled smugly, twirling in the water lazily. "Oh, I could help. In theory, anyways. Doesn't mean it isn't fun to watch you flop around like finless fish."
Yvette stopped swimming, turning to glare at Cas.
Mike halted and tread water for a minute. "Very funny. Do me a "theoretical" favor and find out where the nearest dry land is, will ya?"
Cas rolled his eyes behind the bandages obscuring them. "Alright, alright. Make the god do all the work why don't you?" he complained before swimming a little ways away. He poked his head out of the water, and before long he sensed a small platform that seemed to be made of sand from where he was. "Found one, it's over that way," he said pointing in the direction of the platform
Mike started off in that direction. "Thank-you. Next time, if you don't want to help, maybe don't gloat about being so helpful. Come on, Yvette."
