(Yeah? He's like asking her why she was just about to tell him. But then she was like "no that's cheesy, so never mind" and he wants to know why. If that makes sense.)
(Yeah? He's like asking her why she was just about to tell him. But then she was like "no that's cheesy, so never mind" and he wants to know why. If that makes sense.)
Kayla chuckled. "Its nothing." She said as she wrung her hair out. "Don't worry about it."
"okay. Well have a good-" He was interrupted by a man walking up to the deck with a big flashlight. A few men following behind him. Two of the men spotted Orion. "uh, what're you doing miss?" The man with the bigger flashlight asks her.
Kayla hid the bandana. "I was thrown off my ship at sea. I was able to swim here but I think my ship sank." She said, trying to look shooken.
"well whos this? One of your crew members?" He says looking a little suspicious. A man stepped in the water to get a closer look at Orion. "hey you, get out of the water" He says waving a stick at him. "uh…. no thank you. Its quite chilly and nice in here."
He says with a shrug, shrinking back into the water.
"I actually don't know. He helped me swim to shore though. I don't have the best eyesight." She lied.
"Yeah okay. Lets get you guys to safety. Its gonna get a little crazy in the water soon." One guy laughed a little, waving his flashlight around a little. Orion backed away a little bit, though he didn't want to swim away yet. Just to make sure Kaya didn't get hurt.
Kayla nodded before standing up. She stumbled a bit to look disoriented. "Thank you." She said.
(Just a thought since I never clarified. When are you thinking this takes place?)
(Honestly, I have no idea. You choose)
The guy looked over to Orion raising an eyebrow, getting a little frustrated. "Come on out you idiot," he says waving his flashlight again, then turning to Kaya. They didn't particularly seem like guys you could trust.
Kayla had picked up on this. Even better. Hopefully that means they would underestimate her. She knew a fair share of self defense. She had to on a ship full of men. She was more worried about Orion. She shook her head at the thought. ”He is a Siren. He can handle himself.” She said to herself.
(I was thinking the golden age of pirates because that where my mind goes to when you say pirates.)
(yeah that's what I was thinking)
Orion glared at the men as they closed in on Kaya. The water started rippling around him.
(btw, you can control the other men if you want lol)
Once Kayla realized what they were closing in she imeaditly pushed two of the men into the water but the third one grabbed her from behind.
(Got it!)
As the two men splashed into the water Orion backed away from them. The water was too dark for them to see him clearly, but one plunged out of the water, "Siren! Its a siren! Get out of the water"
"and this is where i take my leave. Im sure you can handle yourself" He says to himself as he maneuvers his way out of the mans way.
(okay so idk what to do right now, but i feel like something should happen….)
(Neither do I tbh. Give me sometime to think. I just woke up)
Kayla elbowed the other man in the stomach before kicking him where it hurts. "I can. Thanks!" She said waved before running off. "Enjoy the meal!" She yelled.
"Uh…thank you?" He says in confusion. Then he looked at the men, one on the ground and two in the water. He sank underwater and pulled the two men under one at a time, snapping their necks and letting them sink to the bottom.
(What should we do now?)
What if Orion gets caught and is like trying to be sold on the black market or something. (Idk)
(Sounds good! You or me?)
(Uhm, if you could do it that would be nice. Sorry, I'm going to bed right now. If not, I can do it tomorrow morning. I just might be a little busy)
It had been about a month since that night. Kayla had gotten off that small island and was now back on the main land. At the moment she was wandering around the small black market that the main land had.
Though she could technically start over now that she wasn't involved with anything criminal anymore, she just couldn't do it. At least in the underground they at least respected woman. If she went back to a normal life she would probably have to get a husband and try to start bearing children. She shivered at the thought. She did not want to do that.
That night Orion was caught trying to make sure Kaya was okay. He never found out when he got pulled away with a giant net.
And now he was being sold on the black market. Currently, the darkest place to buy and sell things. He was trapped in a rather large fish tank, but still a lad to small for a month. And he wasn't too happy about it either.
Kayla wandered around the market. She didn't necessarily come for anything to buy, but to drop off something instead. She hadn't found another crew or family till join so she had been working odd jobs. She needed to get a stolen necklace from a noble to a peddler. She glanced around at all the creatures that she pitted. She had stolen a small dragon from one of these stands before. It was currently hiding in her bag. It was surprisingly well behaved.
Kayla met with her employer and was about to leave the market when she spotted Orion, causing her to stop dead.
Orion was currently humming to himself, though somehow his voice still sounded like an angel. He could always hum when he didn't want people around him. Only his singing lured people in.
He looked around the market with a sigh, then he popped out to a girl looking at him. (It's not Kayla)
He smiled at her with a wave, then motioned for her to come over. He whispered something in her ear and she slowly backed away. He looked over to the merchant who was trying to tell him with a glare, then ack around when he saw….
Again?! How many times was he going to run into her!?
"Kayla? What the hell are you doing here?" He mumbled to himself as his ghostly pale eyes gazed at her.
Kayla made eye contact with him before face plaming. She walked right up to the tank and stared at him. "You just can't seem to stay away from me, can you?" She asked him, chuckling. "Long time no see."
"Same goes for you." He says ruling his eyes. Those same eyes from long ago. Well, that's what it seemed like. It seemed like it's been at least ten years. Though that was probably just him being dramatic….again.
