Silently, Velius stands and walks towards his room. He grabs his scythe and begins to sharpen it, glaring at the walls for a moment before sighing. He needed more excitement, he thought being an assassin would be a little more exciting.
Max heard a ding and he scrambled for his phone and was shocked when he saw he was assigned to kill V. Name: Velius Karma, Age: 25, etc. Max sighed as he changed into a black hoodie, black ripped jeans, and started walking to James' house with his hood up and a black mask that covered the lower part of his face.
Velius grabs his scythe, leaving home through his window. He drops to the ground stealthily and begins to walk, pulling his mask up, his hair waving back an forth in its tight ponytail. He sighs softly, rubbing the back of his head.
Max quietly followed him as he took out his throwing knives, ready to use them.
Velius stops suddenly, his eyes narrowing. He turns around suddenly, throwing his scythe out into defensive. He growls lowly, looking around.
Max quickly blocked the scythe and threw one of his knives in reflex.
Velius quickly dodged it, his eyes widening. An assassin, coming to kill him?! What the hell?! He hisses through his teeth, his scythe going into defensive position.
Max started feeling guilty but threw his knives at him, one after another.
Velius dodges them, his eyes narrowing as he stumbles a little. He growls lowly. "What the hell's going on?" He yells angrily. His eyes widen with realization. James… where's James… His heart thuds with fear.
Max didn't talk since he didn't want to be recognized and he quickly took out his dagger and slashed at his chest.
James… his head is filled with fear and pain. His heart stops for a split second. He releases a chokes cry, rushing forwards. He had to see if his brother was okay.
"Where do you think you're going?" Max asked in a fake deep voice as he followed him again.
He stares at the other, "Get out of my way." He growls, throwing his scythe forwards, the blade reaching the assassins neck. His eyes are wide with fury. "What did you do to my brother?!" He yells.
Max quickly ducked when he threw his scythe forwards, "Go find out yourself." He said as if he did something to James, but he didn't, James was probably sleeping peacefully in his bed.
Velius chokes, his heart thudding. He looks towards his home, his eyes wide. His breathing is erratic as he rushes forwards. Not his baby brother. He hisses, attacking the other, his eyes wide with insanity.
Max blocks all of his attacks "Go on, go look in your house to see if your brother is alive or not." He kept feeling guilty but he just ignored his feelings, he couldn't allow his feelings to interfere during his job.
Veilus had tears streaming down his face. If they hurt his baby brother… He rushes forward, yelling in grief and anger before rushing towards his home. He had to see… he had to.
Max quickly took all his throwing knives and put them away before he started following Velius into his house.
Velius rushes to his brothers room, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw his brother sleeping peacefully. He had always envied his brother about being a deep sleeper. His grip on his scythe completely loosens and it falls to the ground.
Max stayed outside the room, adjusting his mask, and was slightly confused when he heard something being dropped. He poked his head in and looked around to see what happened.
Velius gently kisses his brother on the forehead as what seemed to be a goodbye, fully aware of the assassin. He stands slowly, walking out of the room. "If I let you kill me… will you leave him be?" He whispers, staring at the assassin, his eyes filled with fear and relief as he shuts the door quietly behind him.
Max sighs and pulls down his mask with his finger. "Look, I don't want to kill you, can we try to make up a plan to make my boss believe I killed you?" He asked, putting down his hoodie and running a hand through his hair.
Velius feels his jaw drop, then he clears his throat. "What did you have in mind?" He asks curiously. Max was an assassin? And all this time… all this time he just thought Max was a babysitter, someone who made his brother happy while he went and worked.
Max chuckled at his reaction, "I don't know and why did you lie this morning?"
"I can't blow my cover, now can I?" He asks curiously, a smirk etching itself on his lips. "After all, being an assassin for hire is a dangerous job." He says, shrugging.
